Mewsic Monday

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Mewsic Moves Me hosted by Curious as a Cathy,Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked.

Our dear friend, Stunning Keisha is honorary co-host this month and she has chosen songs about or by American Indians in honor of Native American Heritage Month.

This one stumped me a bit, but I came up with two.

1.From the movie Pocohantas-Colors of the Wind-

2. Tim McGraw’s Indian Outlaw-

And I want to wish a Happy Veteran’s Day to all who are serving or have served. I am thankful to you all for keeping us safe and free.

My Angel Lucy with my Dad’s flag and a photo from when he was in The Air Force.

  1. Awww on Angel Lucy with your dads flag and photograph. So bittersweet.

    Love the videos.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  2. Great songs! Unfortunately LttleCrow isn’t on social media anymore. I miss him. His dad stopped blogging too. He does keep up his website which I linked to.

  3. You know, I *LOVE* that Tim McGraw song, and it never even crossed my mind to share it in my own post? It’s all good, though! Wonderful selections this week!

  4. I don’t care if he’s married or not… I AGREE! HE’S DEFINITELY HOT! Oh hells/bells I’m married too, but that doesn’t mean I cannot say another man is hot. A woman can look, but now touching if she’s married. I feel the same way about men. They can look all they want for pity sakes. LADIES GET OVER IT!!! Now, some great tunes this week ladies too!!! WOOHOO! Have a great week!

  5. Ellen,

Good-morning, my dear! Yesterday I had an afternoon appointment with my ENT. Everything went well and I don’t go back until the spring. Yay! Can you believe it’s snowing? Yep, it’s gonna be a cold day and the temps are forecast to be with us the rest of the week. Thanks for joining me on the dance floor. I like both of your song picks. You and SongBird’s Crazy World picked the theme from Pocahontas. Tim McGraw’s ‘Indian Outlaw’ is new to me. I enjoyed listening to it and liked how it threw in a short tribute of sorts to Paul Revere & The Raiders’ ‘Indian Nation’. Have a boogietastic week and keep warm! 😉

  6. The Tim McGraw song was the only one I could think of! There was another one back in the 70’s, I think Tim does a line from it in his song. I can’t remember the name of it or who sang it either right now.

  7. My father served in the Army Air Force in World War II and one of his sisters was a WAVE. Respect to all veterans. I enjoyed the fact that Tim McGraw paid tribute to “Indian Reservations” towards the end of his song.
