Caturday Saturday

Hi everyone! We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and The Pet Parade.

I know this is late for Dr. Seuss Day this year, but I wanted to let you all know about this website I just discovered where you can make a sign with your choice of many Dr. Seuss characters. RedKid.Net

We are also joining Sabi Saturday, the new hop my Cactus Catz. You show something you have rescued from the trash or something you repurposed. To find out more, click here.

This wine glass has a crack in it, but instead of tossing it, I use it as a dust cover for the kitty my friend made me.

    1. Thank you 🙂 A little greenhouse is a good idea too. Thank you for the purrs and prayers for Sammy. XO

  1. That is a fun site, and so many other signs as well as Dr.Seuss. I made Eric and Flynn a Walk of Fame star each.
That is a good idea for the wine glass. I am very good at chipping or cracking them so I shall have to start saving them instead of throwing them out.

  2. I love Thing 1 and Thing 2. They are adorable. I always enjoyed reading the Dr. Seuss books to the kids. One of my favorite was The Cat in the Hat Comes Back.
I agree with the others, that is a great idea you had for the wine glass. The kitty under it is cute, too. 🙂
Have a blessed weekend, my friend!

  3. Mom and dad are huge fans of repurposing. Much of what we have around our place has been apartment left-behinds or throwaways from other people.

    1. Thank you 🙂 I can’t wait for the appointment Monday, I am worried about my boy. XO

  4. That was a great way to repurpose that glass. I always hate when I have something like that, which ends up having to get thrown away. Super cute kitty your friend made for you. have a super weekend. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  5. That’s a lovely use for the wineglass. You could even use the top as a shelf for another kitty, something soft like crochet or fabric so it doesn’t break if it falls off.

  6. Clever use of a glass! One of my clients broke the bottom off a wine glass, so she turned it upside down and uses it to slide her rings on the stem when she is washing dishes. It sits on the windowsill over the sink.

  7. Whoa! That’s the site I used to make my Seuss art from years ago that I repurposed this year. I’d almost forgotten. TW used to be a fine dumpster diver but no one throws anything good in the Refuse Room anymore.

  8. What fun Dr. Seuss art! And this is such a perfect way to use otherwise unused wine glasses. I don’t drink, but I somehow still have some wine glasses in my cabinets. Now I know what I can use them for!
