Friendly Fill-Ins Week 134

Hi everyone. Before we get to the fill-ins, we want to ask everyone to purr and pray for Two-Two at Marg’s Animals. She has been in a lot of pain recently and having a tough time.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-hostโ€™s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate.

1. I love buying gifts for ____________________.

2. I have a hard time finding a gift for ____________________.
3. It’s the most wonderful time _________.
4. There’s no place like _________ for the holidays.
My answers:
1. I love buying gifts for The Great One. I am loving shopping in the toy department again.I love to buy gifts for everyone I care about though.
2. I have a hard time finding a gift for some relatives we don’t see often. I feel like if you don’t care enough about someone to see them often then you shouldn’t bother with gifts.
3. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Yes, I went with the lines to the song because this time of year  does seem magical .
4. There’s no place like your home filled with kitties for the holidays. And any time ๐Ÿ™‚
We are also joining Create With Joyโ€™s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

  1. Great answers, Ellen. Shopping for little ones is so much fun. The best part is watching them open their presents. Their responses to the gifts are like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re going to get. ๐Ÿ™‚

Please keep David in your prayers. He isn’t able to participate in the fill-ins this week because he is very sick. He had a fever at one point yesterday of 100.4. Thanks!

    Have a blessed weekend!

  2. What great fill-ins you did this morning! I imagine it is a lot of fun to buy toys……all the kids in our family are grown up so that toy period is far behind me but I always enjoyed it. It is a MAGICAL time of the year too – I seem to have a permanent smile on my face. Have a great Friday!

    Hugs, Pam

  3. I imagine it is fun buying gifts for The Great One. It is nice that she is right there and you know what she likes.
    1. I love buying gifts for the kitty rescue here locally.
    2. I have a hard time finding a gift for our great-nieces and great-nephews.
    3. It’s the most wonderful time to let go and be a kid again.
    4. There’s no place like being with family for the holidays.

    1. I am blessed that I live near my family. Thank you for these great answers. That is sweet of you to buy gifts for kitties at the rescue. If you need ideas for your great-nieces and nephews email me their ages and I can help you. I am really into toys right now ๐Ÿ™‚ XO

      1. I will take you up on your offer for help with the kids, Ellen! Thank you!

  4. Thanks so much for the shout-out for Two Two. She needs all the help she can get. WE like you fill-ins. I bet it is fun to buy gifts for the great One. You all have a great day.

  5. Great answers, Ellen! I generally give gift bags topped with tissue paper instead of wrapped boxes because I begin shopping during the January sales and it’s simple to put items into the appropriate bag…. I also use paperclips with the names because it’s not unusual to need to change to a different sized bag…
I do this with birthday gifts, too, so 2 shelves in my office are involved.

  6. I love all your answers. Kitties are a great addition to Christmas. Okay, anytime of the year is a good time to have kitties.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. โ™ฅ

  7. I agree with you on #2. I always bought gifts for my brother and his grown up family and when they moved away it was always us who took the presents to them. We never got a thank you and were lucky to even get a card from any of them.
A few years ago we decided enough was enough and only send a card now.
I don’t give to receive, but I don’t like to be taken for granted.

  8. We’re with you on #4. TW’s relatives don’t exchange gifts anymore. She only has to buy for Pop, me and Aunt Pauline these days. This year it’s going to be tough picking out something for Aunt Pauline since she sent her some get well gifts.

  9. Another great week of fill ins. I love your answers. We have the same one for #4. There’s no place like home ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a great weekend!

  10. Mom says she would have said just about the same thing for her answers, except her home is full of pups:) It is a lot of fun to buy for the grands, but ours are getting so big now. They are harder to buy for, but still a lot of fun.

  11. Some people truly enjoy shopping for Christmas … I’m not one of them. Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE giving gifts that I know the recipient wants – it’s the shopping part that gets me.

  12. We have been sending lots and lots of purrs and prayers to Two Two. I hope she heals up soon.

And your fill-ins are fantastic! I can relate to your answer to #1, but for me it’s when I shop for my cousins’ children. When it comes to buying gifts for them for Christmas, I get to play in the toy section of Target, and that’s great news for me. And your answer to #4 is purrfect! Purrs!
