The A-Z Blogging Challenge- K

Today is letter K day for The A-Z Blogging Challenge.

Back in 2016, I wrote about Kitty Kapers. A book with games and recipes for kitty treats. To see that post, click here.

I wrote about Tortitude by Ingrid King before too, but it is a great book and Penny wants to remind everyone that Tortie Appreciation Day is this Friday. Ingrid King just started this and we hope it will be an annual tradition. To read more about it, click here.

  1. Of course it is right that you have your Tortie appreciation day, Penny.
They both sound like good books.

  2. Ellen,

Penny is a nice Tortie but not all torties are, though. Years ago, my BIL & his wife had a tortie from H-E-double toothpicks. If looks could kill, I’d be die by now. That cat scared me to death. One time, we were asked to house sit for them while they were on vacation. It sounded fun enough and we got to sleep in their big king size water bed which at the time was amazing. Anyway one morning I woke up after DH had gone to work to find this demon cat standing over me. No doubt plotting my demise. Talk about freaked out, I was freaked out! I’m sure what she was saying, “What did you do with my beloved human companions? Answer now or pay the price!” or she could’ve been saying with contempt, “You stupid human, why haven’t you feed me? MY human pet would’ve woken up before the chickens to satisfy my tummy! I have no use for you, except to first to do that can opener magic and then I’ll trip you as you go down the stairs. Maybe the other human who’s with you will serve me better than you.” Alright, I’m sure this is an exaggeration of what was going on inside the likes of her brain but still she hated everyone other than my BIL’s wife and she barely tolerated him. Have a good day, furriends. Stay safe & sound!!

  3. Torties are supposed to have Tortitude. It’s what makes them great torties.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. My best to your siblings and your wonderful mom. ♥

  4. This book deserves to be shared again! Penny, you are a beautifully prime example of a tortie. We are so glad there’s a day to celebrate you torties out there. Can you we just make this whole week National Tortie Week, though?

  5. Penny, I think I have enough cat books to supply a book report on one day for about a year!

  6. what a beautiful kitty! We had a calico cat Maria years ago. She was a great mouser!
Have a lovely day and stay safe!

  11. Thanks for the reminder Penny! You look beautiful in all your Tortie splendor.

  12. Truffles is in Tortitude! We’re so excited that torties finally have their own “day”.

  13. Mom says she’s seen a long haired tortie outside two days in a row. Of course Mom was immediately smitten. We’re pretty sure she lives next door.

  14. Kitty Kapers sounds great – what kitty doesn’t need an assortment of treats of all kinds. And I’m glad to learn about Tortie Appreciation Day – love to all those beauties.

  15. How i have enjoyed the torties in my life. One tortie bottle-baby stuck her tongue out at me once when i fussed at her about something!

  16. Penny is so cute. She looks really cozy with her book. And she looks like she’s judging us for our book choices 🙂
