Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.I am thankful that Dad let me have some ice cream from his ice cream sandwich.

And here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day.We had to write a poem based on this photo.

Such a small house
barely room for a mouse.
When one has 13 cats,
you need room for all their hats.
They need places up high
and soft spots to lie.

Mom thought that house looked like a mini version of our house before they had the vinyl siding put on it in 2010.

This is what it looks like now:

There are some new blogs we have been enjoying that we want to tell you about in case you don’t know about them. Angelic Clowder and Cats are on Top.I am not being compensated, I just like to help new cat bloggers.

And here are The Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. As you know, Annie is taking a blogging break, please keep her in your prayers.

  1. I am a huge fan of tiny houses and it does look like your house! I ate a ice cream sandwich last night, should have given some to Cody! Will go and check out those blogs, thanks!

  2. My human loathes the idea of tiny houses – she likes having space! We live in a house that is on three different levels – anything smaller is too small for her and her boyfriend with his guitars and her publishing business.

  3. Love your poem today! It’s perfect for the tiny house photo AND indeed that little house looks like a TINY version of your house in its’ old siding!!! You would have a tough time stuffing 13 cats and two humans in side the little house but maybe the humans would like having the little house for PEACE AND QUIET while the 13 cats have the big place????!!!!! Thanks for pawticipating in Poetry day!

    Love, Teddy

    1. Thank you. I wonder if one cat would be pleased in this tiny house 🙂 XO and love to you and your mom.

  4. If the cats are happy, then I’m happy! But I need some room, and our old house is purrfect for having one apartment for Angel, and another for CB and Manny.

  5. Oh yum, ice cream! We’d like to have that tiny house as a playhouse. Thanks for sharing the new blogs, it’s always important to help others, we do know one of them. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  6. Is it just me, or did that bottom house look a bit better prior to vinyl?
I hope Annie isn’t taking a break due to health issues and that she’ll eventually be back.
Interesting questions, by the way…. Purrseidon looked at ‘happiness is’ then gave Katsu a very speculative look… she then looked out the window at M’s gravestone…. it will be interesting to see what she comes up with.

    1. I think it had more character before, but that siding was asbestos. I hope Annie will come back and join Lorianne and I.

  7. Tiny houses are very clever and a great idea for those that don’t need a lot of space. For me, I need some breathing room. 🙂

  8. Evan says you hit the jackpot with that ice cream, Prancie! He and pup Astrid are the ice cream fiends at our house. And your poem is purrfect for this photo. I am intrigued by the idea of living a minimal, humble life in a small home. But then I remember that I have multiple cats and a 70-lb dog, and realize that a miniature home would be a bit of a nightmare. Also, I love the color of your home! I have always thought blue was a lovely color for a house. Happy Thursday!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. Nip is great, but silvervine is even better- have you tried it? XO

  9. Oh wow! That tiny house does look like the big house!! That’s really cool! Thank you so much for the shoutout! We got a new follower and it’s someone we follow and love! You are very lucky that your dad let you have a lick of his ice cream. Our mom does that but the human sisters don’t.

  10. Vanilla ice cream… You are lucky. It’s so good.
Sometime my human share some ice cream with me.
The blue small house is really cute.

  16. Someday i want a tiny house and a truck with which to pull it, and i will go visit friends around the country. Someday.

  17. Wow, your house does look like the big version of the tiny house. It would be way too small for us as well. We have visited Angelic Clowder, but had never heard of the other blog. Thanks for passing on the info. Ice cream sandwich…yum! XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  18. Is that your house? Fur some reason we think of a big house in the middle of a big field when we think ’bout where you are. Big hugs

    Luv ya’
