Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am so thankful that The Great One did so well as Annie. And thankful her village was there for her- there were 17 of us.  I got in line an hour early to score a good seat and help save seats for our crew. The couple behind us also had 17 coming for their daughter.  It seems that everyone in her school has a big village too. Lucky kids.

I am thankful for Friday every day of the week. She is definitely my cat and gives me a lot of up close and purrsonal visits daily.

I skipped the poem again.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. Let’s bring back ______________________.
2. _______________is the new ______________________.
3. I appreciate that my local area _________.
4. _________ is my least favorite part about where I live.

  1. FRIDAY was so lucky he came to live with you … remembering Kiril. And how wonderful the school play had a large turn out for all the kids, well deserved by every one of them: applause, applause!

  2. It’s also very great that your school has enough room to let in so many family members. I do know there have been events I’ve heard of that only the parents and grandparents are allowed and no one else because there’s not enough seating.

  3. That’s great that so many attended the play and showed their support. Aww, sweet Friday is such a beautiful cat.

  4. She is indeed lucky. When I was in a play in third grade, only my mother came to see me. (She thought I was perfect!) A village is wonderful!

  5. My niece, now with a BA and two MA’s, still volunteers at her high school for plays.
I, for one, was terrified of being onstage, and still am.
Allowing young’uns to try, however, is the key.

  6. How wonderful that so many were there in person to celebrate and support the Great One. Kudos to everyone.

  7. I would like to do the fill-ins. But I had probably better do them on my blog. No one will like ’em.

  9. Friday’s eyes have some love in them looking at you. Great photo of her♥
Very nice how people came out and supported Annie, the play, and the kids. It is very nice to have a village to support children!

  10. Congratulations on gathering such a large group to support the Great One. Friday looks like a happy and content cat, and it is nice to have at least one you can count on for love and companionship. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid & Sawyer, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Kizmet, Audrey, Raleigh, Gibbs & Tali

    1. Thank you. Yes, it is. Dusty, Penelope. Rosie, Rudy and Rusty are all dependable too> XO

  11. Friday is a wonderful cat, I’m glad you were “chosen.”

Congratulations again to your Annie! I’m glad everyone was able to be there.

  12. Charlee: “Excellent job being your mom’s lap cat, Friday. Around here, Chaplin is Mama’s lap cat, and I’m Dada’s lap cat, even if sometimes other cats interlope on Dada’s lap.”
Chaplin: “Nobody’s interloping. We’re all allowed to be on any lap we want to.”
Charlee: “Not when I’m watching you aren’t!”

  13. It’s so good that the Great One had all the family supporting her. Sounds like a fun time. Cute photo of Friday.
