Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful my mom got to celebrate her birthday on Tuesday. Last November, I wasn’t sure that was going to happen. And I am thankful I got to have lunch and a visit with Teddy’s folks in Maine on Wednesday. I will show those photos on Selfie Sunday even though they aren’t actual selfies.

I liked how this bear was decorated outside the Kittery Trading Post.

I skipped the poem once again this week.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. My hometown is __________.
2. October is a good time to __________________.
3. If I saw the ghost of _________, I would _________.
4. You couldn’t pay me to wear a _________ costume.

  1. I’m so glad you and your Mom had a good time on her birthday, too, Ellen! And looking forward to your selfies from Maine. Those are great decorations with the bear for sure! XO

  2. Love that bear. And did you see the elderly lady with a cane on Instagram scolding a bear who had turned over garbage cans? Maybe it was Ai but it was hilarious and the poor bear was looking so ashamed…

    1. Her apartment is almost redone so probably not. I wish she would just move in here permanently, but she wants her independence. XO

  3. I can’t wait to see the pictures! Back in my MSNSpaces days…long before I knew of the CB, we had a cat and dog -centric blogging community mixed in with regular blogs. Sometimes, at least once a year, bloggers would set up and attend a meeting in a central place. There were usually 10 or so attendees. GREAT fun.

    1. That does sound like fun. I wish I had gone to a conference for cat blogging when they had them. XO

  4. Charlee: “We are glad you got to celebrate your mom’s birthday with her and have lunch with your friends from Maine!”
    Chaplin: “Mmm, lunch …”
Java Bean: “Ayyy, that bear looks like he’s bearing gifts! Although I would be a little bit afraid to take one …”
