Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. I made an error yesterday and posted a week ahead of time for International Box Day. So for next week, I will try to get the boys to pose in reverse of how they did this week.

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful that Dusty got through her spay surgery fine and tested negative for FELV/FIV. I will keep her segregated until she heals then I will start introductions. I am also thankful my hubby went to pick her up at the end of the day so I could attend the girls’ gymnastic show.

I know I already used this photo, but I didn’t want to take one of her all drugged up from surgery.

We are also joining Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day.  And here is the photo prompt provided:

These new cars are the best.
I put this one to the test.
I asked it to get in a parking spot
and this is what I got.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. ______________ is a quality of mine that I am proud of.
2. ___________________ is a quality of mine I would like to change.
3. Though I find _________ boring, _________ really interests me.
4. Believe it or not, I deal with _________ on a regular basis.

  2. So good to hear that Dusty did so well! Such a nice glimpse of her! Ha, good poem that really fits the picture. I can’t imagine how that even happened! Kitty boys in boxes works for me any time! XO

  3. Hooray for Dusty getting her surgery done…and now for the good stuff of being in a great family!! She will be grateful forever.

Loved seeing those box images, yesterday, even if it was early! (Must have too much going on at your place, LOL!)

    Your poem was too funny!

  4. Hey, if we can’t make mistakes, life would be oh, so boring, right? We thought the boxies were pretty foxy. And we send healing thoughts for dear Dusty and hope she gets along with all….

  5. I’m so glad Dusty did well and she is a gorgeous kitty. I love your poem and wouldn’t want to be in that car. Watching the girls in gymnastics must be a lot of fun.

  6. I am so glad Dusty got through all the yucky but necessary stuff and is home recuperating.

  7. Let’s face it, every.single.day is Box Day for Cats; it’s us humans who have to put a finer point on it.
We are hoping that Dusty begins her transition to housecat calmly.
The Hubby has fallen in love with our Henry, and when she didn’t show up yesterday, he was in a state.
Thankfully, she reappeared, and we continue to sneak up a bit closer every day, hoping she’ll soon be less skittish in our presence.

  8. Very glad Dusty made it through the surgery just fine. Good luck with the introductions. She looks a bit tentative but I’m sure she’ll realize she won the kitty lottery soon enough. Bless you and your husband for rescuing her. 💙

  9. We loved your box post and look forward to a reverse rerun:). We know the boys will be happy to cooperate. And good news on Dusty – hope she heals well.

    Woos – Misty and Timber

  10. Heeheehee! You just came up with a perfect poem, I believe.

I’m glad your new kitty is now fixed and almost ready to meet the family. I pray it all goes well.

  11. OMC…that poem is the BEST! Made Mom laugh. Sending POTP that Dusty heals quickly and introductions go well. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

  12. Good to hear that Dusty tested negative for FELV and FIV and she is spayed and home. Hoping she heals quickly and can get acquainted with the Meowing Crew. I never thought about the car being equipped with self parking. I am glad you were able to see the girls perform at their gymnastics show.

    1. Thank you. SO far, introductions not going well. She really went after poor Brody. It is fun to see the gymastics and I just got back from a dance recital. XO

  13. Chaplin: “Great news that Dusty is healthy! We are sure she’ll fit right in!”
Java Bean: “Ayyy, that is a pretty neat trick with that car! I am not sure I would enjoy a ride that ended like that.”
Oona: “As far as Oona is concerned, every day is Box Day!”
