Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. Thank you for the prayers and concern about our Covid. My mom

( AKA: Grammie) also has it so please keep her in your prayers as well. It has been quite a few days so hopefully it will stay mild for all of us. I am still trying to figure out how we got it. We all wear masks everywhere we go. My mom and I did go to a brunch at Typhoid Mary’s school so the mask did come off to eat. I wonder if that is where it came from.  I guess I will never know.

Emmy is thankful for the 2 catnip/silvervine toys Grammie gave her for Christmas.

Except Joanie is reminding her that she is supposed to share. 🙂 I am thankful for every minute with Emmy and Joanie. Joanie is 17 so that scares me. And Emmy, as you know will never be healthy, and she is so thin. She has good days and bad, but as long as the good outweigh the bad, I will do all I can for her. The bad day are usually when she is constipated and doesn’t want to eat, but I always worry that it i the beginning if the end.

I will blame Covid for my lack of a poem this week.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

 1. _____________________ is my focus word for 2023.
2. 2022 was ____________________
3. _________ is the most important lesson I learned over the past year.
 4. I hope 2023 is the year that _________.

  1. Sending lots more purrs for rapid recovery for everyone. Keep us posted when you can but do take care of yourselves first and foremost. Darling picture of Emmy and Joanie! XO

  2. Ellen, we are thankful that you have mild cases and we will add your Mom to our purrayers. We are also purraying for Emmy and Joanie. It is tough when our fur babies get old and frail and are not as healthy as they used to be. Sending you virtual hugs.

  3. Maybe the covid restrictions to your life are a blessing in disguise because now you can spend as much time as you want/need with your precious kitties, all of them, but esp Joanie and Emmy!

    You’re all in our prayers.

  4. Oh, Ms E and hubby, do get well and do be careful. Could someone at your xmas party have carried the virus? You can get it from someone who does NOT exhibit symptoms, just carries it to YOU. Crowds of any number are full of possible carriers with NO symptoms. Very important to know this but it’s in many articles. We love your Emmy and Joanie and know it must be very, very sad to see them age, and suffer…MUCH love from here.

    1. Our party was the 18th so it wasn’t from that. It was more recent- could be anywhere. I wear a mask, but I tend to rub my eyes a lot. XO and love to you.

  5. I am sending good thoughts that you all make a good recovery from the Covid.

  6. Trying to comment again – first time didn’t go – this probably won’t either but just in case, wanted to say hope all of you are feeling better soon from THE BAD BUG……and sending hugs to Emmy and Joanie.

    Love, Pam and Teddy

  7. You lacked a poem for Covid.
But we bet it is nothing that you did.
    And we truly do thinked
    It was nothing you drinked
But a cold and you soon will be OKied.

    Smile 🙂

  8. Like you, I wear my mask every where still. But with out little children around, I guess it has
kept more germs away. Hope all including Emmy have a great day today.

  9. 1. Less blogging and more boating is my focus word for 2023.
    2. 2022 is a political mess and a huge economic downturn. I don’t see anything better in 2023.
    3. Think for yourself and don’t follow the herd is the most important lesson I learned over the past year. Okay, I’ve never followed the herd.
     4. I hope 2023 is the year that things calm down and peace will reign.

Prayers for all those with covid. Take care.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. xo ♥

  10. Charlee: “Nasty, tricky, sneaky Covid! We send lots of purrs for Grammie to recover, too!”
Chaplin: “We also send lots of purrs for your seniors Joanie and especially Emmy to stay healthy and happy!”
Lulu: “And we dogs send lots of tail wags!”

  11. Sending bunches of get well prayers and vibes for all three of you. So sorry Grammie got it too. Hope you all are beginning to feel better. Aww, Ellen, I understand your worry and concern over Joanie and Emmy… you aren’t alone, I know we are all thinking about you and sending prayers and good thoughts for those two sweet fuzz faces.

  12. oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hoping you are over it soon! I had it in April and it sucked. I felt crappy for WEEKS after it was gone. Hoping you had your vaccines because that will make it better. Sending healing wishes!

  13. Ellen I am so sorry about the COVID crud in your family. Sending all kinds of prayer and hugs.
Well I might have figured out the secret around commenting issue. I Rebooted the desk top and here I am. 2 1/2 weeks ago husband picked up some kind of creeping crud (not covid). I think it was a head cold from HE//sticks. Then it went into his sinuses and lots of coughing. Today he might be feeling a bit stronger.
    Hugs Cecilia

    1. Sorry your hubby had it for so long. I am already on the mend. Glad you figured out the issue. XO

  14. We’re all sending more go away Covid prayers. Those were good thankfuls and we totally understand the elder kitty concerns and fears. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  15. We are sorry to hear that Grammie caught COVID, too. We are definitely purring and praying for you all to get better soon. Hi Joanie and Emmy! 🙂

  16. Hope you’re feeling much better now. COVID saps the mental and physical strength out of a person. I’m still trying to get my mental mojo back after 6 weeks. Hang in there and keep smiling.

  17. COVID is everywhere now, so it’s hard to figure out where it comes from. I think eventually we’ll all go through it, hopefully mildly. I hope everyone is feeling better! xo
