Thankful Thursday

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Emmy and I are thankful for St. Michael the Archangel. I have this little St. Michael that came with a prayer card. I had it hanging by the cat bunks beds and it fell down. I took it as a hint to start praying daily to him to help Emmy with all these battles for her health.  I know we can’t beat them forever, but I am thankful for every day that we do.

I am also thankful my hubby seems to have accepted Rudy and Rusty. He has been asking me how to tell them apart and he talks to them.

We are joining the poetry day named after Teddy’s angel brother Sammy ‘s Poetry Day. Here is the photo prompt provided.

I see you are running away

stay clear of the highway.
C’mom let’s get shaking
I don’t want to wind up as bacon.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. HA! First of all what an adorable poem!!! Good job. We wouldn’t want that little guy to become bacon before his time. Happy that Rusty and Rudy are getting Dad on their side. It’s fun to have some kittens among the gang isn’t it. We have paws crossed for Emmy of course!!

    Love, Teddy

    1. Thank you. It is fun to hear the pitter patter of kitty feet- they sound like bulls running. 🙂 XO

  2. I think your hubby likes all of those kitties just as much as you. Just look how quickly he’s turned around. 🙂 Your poem put a smile on my face. I hope that little piglet stays safe on the road but bacon does sound pretty good. Sorry ’bout that, I haven’t eaten yet this morning. lol

  3. We pray for Emmy together.

Love the poem. You made me chuckle.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. xo ♥

  5. Charlee: “We are keeping up the purrs for Emmy!”
Chaplin: “We understand about Rudy and Rusty. People used to have trouble telling Charlee and me apart, too. One time the vet even recorded our weights backwards and then on our next visit they were concerned that Charlee had lost a couple of pounds and I had gained a couple.”
Charlee: “I’m still not sure they quite believed it when Mama and Dada told them they must have messed up our weights, but Dada weighs us once a week, so if our weights had changed that much, he would’ve known it before the vet did!”

  6. Rudy and Rusty will sure liven things up! The wonderful thing of have 2 young rambunctious Man cats is they have each other and will not harass the other 12 (too much). We have been purraying for Emmy, and we are now sure that St Michael is looking out for her too! We LOVE the poem! It rocks! Purrs Marv and Mom
