Thankful Thursday

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Joanie is thankful that she had a play date Tuesday and will have another one today. The Great One and Joanie opened a sunglass/eyeglass store for all the stuffies. I am thankful Joanie had her thyroid test and all is well so no changes at this time. ( Knock on wodd, 3 times).

Friday also had her first vet visit since moving in with us and all her blood work is good. She also got her rabies shot. There is a dental in her near future though.

We are joining the poetry day named after Teddy’s angel brother Sammy ‘s Poetry Day. Here is the photo prompt provided.

Sorry bro, it’s my first time on the road

I had to swerve to miss that toad.
This driving stuff is harder than it looks.
For now, I think I will go inside and read books.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. The grossest food  I ever ate was ___________________.
2. The best tasting food I ever had was _______________.
3. I should probably _________, but I won’t.
4. If I could have an unlimited supply of one item, I would pick _________.

  1. Charlee: “A sunglass store? You can probably expect Spicoli to show up to do some shopping any time now …”
Chaplin: “Good news on the thyroid test for Joanie and Friday’s blood work! Good luck with your dentals, Friday!”

  2. Hooray for Joanie!
Friday, after the dental, you will feel better…we’ll add our POTP right now to get you started in the right direction.

That is a lot of sunglasses/spectacles! Did they use up all the inventory? I hope they can all see better, now too! LOL!

    1. Thank you. I still need to schedule it and they are booking a few months out. Yes, we did use up the inventory today. 🙂 XO

  3. Glad the vet reports were good. The stuffies look cute in their glasses. Great poem too!

  4. I have to tell you I love that poem best of any! Really!!
    1. The grossest food I ever ate was when I was 8 and served tongue by a country relative, My mother didn’t tell nor warn me. Tasted bad. Nasty. And I didn’t even know what it WAS. So it wasn’t my mind.
    2. The best tasting food I ever had was pan fried chicken and pan made gravy and home made biscuits. My Dad cooked very well.
3, I should probably deep clean in the house, but I won’t. Too tired right now.
    4. If I could pick an unlimited supply of anything,,,I might choose groceries.

    1. Thank you. Glad you liked the poem. Ick on the tongue. The chicken and gravy sound yummy. I know how you feel about the cleaning. XO

  5. Those are really good thankfuls, well, except for the dental for Friday. Funny, Seal’s previous Vet said she needed a dental and maybe an extraction but her new Vet said nope, her teeth look really good. Must be a $$$ thing. That was a cute poem. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

    1. Thank you. I think a lot of vets do suggest it for money, but Friday’s vet in TX had noted a lot of tartar. XO

  6. Joanie is precious, and I’m so glad her bloodwork showed good news. I just love that Joanie and The Great One have such a strong bond. When Friday gets her dental, I bet the tooth fairy will take really good care of her. Purrs!

  7. I’m coming over for some shades. Glad your vet visit went well.

    Love the poem.

I’m all ready for the friendly fill-ins. Great questions.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  8. That picture of Joanie and all the stuffies is the sweetest. And the sunglasses are a hoot! Good news about her thyroid test. Good news about Friday, too.
