Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

I am thankful that our favorite show, Resident Alien got renewed for season 2.  My hubby and I are obsessed with the show.

I am also thankful for the abundance of pussy willows from our trees this year.

Sorry I didn’t write a poem this week for Sammy’s Poetry Day.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two. The linky stays open until Wednesday night.

    1. I don’t craft, I make a ton of arrangements around the house and for friends and family. One year we sold a bunch to a local store too. XO

  1. That is a lovely lot of pussy willow. We had a lot in the bottom field hedge between us and a neighbour. In the winter he had contractors in to renew the stock fencing and they cut the lot down. Such a shame, but it is his hedge so we had no say about it.

  2. We “started” some pussy willows in a big pot last Spring – just stalks that were in a flower arrangement – and they rooted and we now have our own pussy willows on the back deck! LOVE THEM! Your Mom’s pile of them is most impressive – we hope one day to have LOTS.

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. I’m glad you’re going to enjoy your show that you love so much next season. I always look forward to those things too.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins. Great fill-ins as always.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥

  4. Those are good thankfuls, we hate it when a favorite TV show doesn’t get renewed. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  5. Resident Alien is an awesome show! I’m hoping we get to watch a new episode tonight. And thanks for that good news. Now I want a pussy willow tree. They are so fun. My mother used to take bouquets from our backyard tree. She gave one to her Asian doctor, who endearingly called them ‘kitties in a tree’. 🙂 Wow, that was a long time ago.

  6. I”ve never seen that show, I’ll have to check it out. Those are amazing pussy willows, so pretty.

  7. Super fun Thankfuls. We love Pussy Willow Dad especially. He had some in the yard when he was little. We LOVE that show too. Really quirky, like us. Thanks for the Fill-Ins they look fun and we are thankful for you!

  8. 1. I look forward to daffodils showing up every spring.
    2. The highlight of my week was seeing my daughter.
    3. I think skinnier is the word that best describes me. (I have lost 32 lbs.)
    4. Nothing melts my heart like my grandchildren.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. Daffodils are pretty. That is a lot of weight to lose, I hope you are not sick.

  9. That is a huge output of pussy willows – hope you clip some to display inside. Mom always laughs when she sees them because many years ago one of her nieces put one of the pods up her nose and had to go to the doctor to have it removed.

    1. We put arrangements all over the house and give a lot away. That is a funny story. 🙂

  10. OH OH OH! LOOK at those beauties! How sweet they are. Oh I love them.

  11. Those Pussy Willows look awesome! I could not find any in the usual spots last year, but we had extra late snow and then extra heat and they were only pussys for a few days before they popped their leaves. I’m keeping my eyes open this year so I don’t miss them. Thank YOU for visiting us! We always live to read what you say Ellen. You are awesome. Have a marvellously happy day!

  12. I’m happy to hear about Resident Alien. We couldn’t get into the first couple of episodes, but the third one won us over for some reason. Now we are hooked.

  13. It’s good when your favorite shows are renewed! Pussy Willows remind me of my childhood. They were plentiful along the river banks never my grandmother;s home where we loved to explore. Enjoy a great weekend!

  14. I’m not familiar with that TV show, but I just looked it up and I think we will have to check it out! The cast looks good too.
