Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful that I got to read Emmy’s book at my local library and the library in the next town over. There were only 4 kids at one and 6 at another, but the ones that were there had fun. I read the book and gave out a coloring sheet. Plus we made nip knots for them to take home to their kitties. I was very nervous, but it was a lot of fun.

And here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this photo prompt:

Maybe I shouldn’t have put the bowl on my head.
Boy, spaghetti sure does spread.
Maybe next time give me a spoon,
I just turned one in June.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  2. HAHAHA! That’s a great poem……a spoon might have been just as messy – and could have been used like a slingshot! Tee Hee YAY for the book reading at the library – I know those kids had a ball making nip knots for their kitties. It’s a GREAT idea to visit libraries because kids love to be read to.

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. How fun that you entertained the kids at the library. Good for you.

I love your poem and spaghetti and little ones really don’t go together.

I’m all ready for the fill-ins. Just the right questions for me this week.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Big hug. ♥

  5. Very fun poem. The photo reminds Mom of the time our human brother fell asleep in his high chair with his face planted in a bowl of spaghetti – BOL.

  10. I love that you ready Emmy’s tale to the children, and helped them make cat toys. That must have been such a wonderful experience for you and the children. And, as always, your poem made me smile!
