Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful for this surprise shipment of yarn that arrived last week with a sweet note from Purrseidon thanking me for the copy of I Am Not A Skunk that I sent to her.

And here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this photo:

Tonight it is off to the rodeo
I hope the bull doesn’t give me a throw.
Maybe I will hurt my back,
but for now I will enjoy my coffee-black.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

2. My favorite character on Big Bang Theory is _____________________.

3. I could set a world record for _________.

4. _________ is the craziest thing I’ve ever done.
I apologize to those that don’t watch The Big Bang Theory, but I had to pay tribute to a show that has entertained me for so many years. As most of you know, the final episode is tonight.

  1. 1. Waking up in the morning this all the Mews around me on the bed is my best first experience of the day.
    2. My favorite character on Big Bang Theory is unknown to me. I saw an episode once and it was OK, but I don’t normally watch sitcoms.

    3. I could set a world record for never driving out of my County. Well, its been at least 10 years.

    4. Riding passenger on a borrowed motorcycle to a party in November wearing only shorts and a T shirt is the craziest thing I’ve ever done. Except we also drove back drunk, ditched the motorcycle on the University President’s front lawn, crawled 1/4 mile to the dorm, into the elevator, down the hall, and into our rooms. And attended the 8 o’clock class the next morning.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. #4 is very crazy-yikes! #1 is the same way I wake up and I love it. And #3 is quite a record 🙂

  2. Ooh, sorry, I left a piece of the original post in there.

“I apologize to those that don’t watch The Big Bang Theory, but I had to pay tribute to a show that has entertained me for so many years. As most of you know, the final episode is tonight.” wasn’t my part. Oopsies…

  3. First of all that’s a GREAT poem this week – I hadn’t thought of that guy as being a rodeo rider but of course he could be – catching a fortifying strong coffee before heading off for his ride! Well done! That’s VERY VERY nice that Purrrseidon’s human sent your Mom some yarn…..she uses it a lot that’s for sure.

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. One of the questions will require my thinking hard as only trite replies came to mind. Like eating fried taters and onions for #3. What a wonderful fitting gift! By the way, I love actually getting notification of your blog now and not having to go through the G+ turmoil in order to get here . XXX I loved Sheldon best amdreally, all of them. But Sheldon, what fun. When they had Stan Lee or Star Trek people on, I was glued tighter to the screen—and it was such fun seeing Sheldon’s reactions to them.

    1. I am glad it is easier to get my posts. Sheldon is my favorite too. But, my Penny is named after Penny 🙂 XO

  5. How nice of Purrseidon to send you all that yarn. Now you can make more kitty toys.

    I love your poem.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins. Great questions.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. My best to all the kitties. ♥
