Sparkle the cat book recommendation and great reads

Can’t believe its Friday already-time flies when you are having fun writing a blog. Today is book recommendation day. First off, Lucy has one005 This book is written like a Dear Abby for cats, but she feels humans have much to learn from it. If you are interested here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/Dear-Sparkle-Cat—Cat-columnist-ebook/dp/B005JEKK34/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402057582&sr=8-1&keywords=advice+from+sparkle+the+cat. I read the book and it does have a lot of useful ideas.

Now for my pick, I am going for another collection that has been around for 20 years. Peter Gethers wrote 3 books about his sweet, intelligent Scottish Fold named Norton. Norton made friends all over the world and will always be remembered. Here is a link to one book that has all 3 books in one: http://www.amazon.com/The-Norton-Trilogy-Peter-Gethers/dp/076077305X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1402058599&sr=8-2&keywords=the+norton+trilogy. I wish I had discovered these while Norton was still alive, I would have gone to a book signing to meet him- and his owner too. I was reading the last in the series in 2010 when I know the end was near for my KaChoo. I actually couldn’t finish the book until several months after she passed away because it was like reliving her death over again. Spoiler alert: being that the book is so old, you should assume Norton has passed away, I will tell you it was from kidney disease which is also what my KaChoo had. Sadly, many cats that live to be 15 plus end up with that.

On a brighter note, I have 8 comments from different people- I will close the contest tomorrow morning and draw a name. If I don’t end  up with 10 new ones, I will put your name in as many times as you have commented- that means those with the most comments have a better chance- I appreciate comments- thank you. Also, make sure you sign up for the newsletter at the bottom right of the page- it only comes 4 times a year.
