Rachel Ray Cat Food and Millie’s story

Happy Sunday everyone! I noticed I have a lot of readers from all over the world so I have installed a Google Translator to the top of the blog. It is good to know there are cat lovers all over the world, but of course there would be-cats are great!

I see Rachel Ray has a cat food out now. At first I was annoyed because she is a chef, not a cat nutritionist. I fully planned to complain about this on here, but when I read the ingredients and reviews, it appears to be high quality. I am planning to get some this week – I will let you know how that goes. If anyone else has bought it, I welcome your comments.

Today is “Every cat has a story” day and I am going to tell you Millie’s story ( you met him earlier this week in the box photo and laptop one). David’s family used to own a company that manufactured hydraulic backhoes, it was in the millyard in our town. He was feeding the strays ( per my request) and a pregnant female kept hanging around. She had 3 kittens and Millie was one of them. The mama cat was semi friendly, 2 of the kittens wouldn’t go near him, but Millie wanted to be friends. David wouldn’t even let me see any of them because he knew I would want them. There was a nice veterinarian in the millyard and he agreed to fix them and find homes. David didn’t want to part with his little buddy so he brought him home ( don’t worry, we had him tested for FELV/FIV and got his rabies shot). He is still a very friendly guy 10 years later and loves to greet guests- he especially loves pretty ladies.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

  1. Ellen, I haven’t tried the Rachael Ray cat food but I also noticed it was made with wholesale ingredients. I requested a sample from the foods website, though now all I see is offered for coupons. You should download a coupon before you try it!

    1. Thank you- we have many more stories as most of our 15 were homeless too.

  2. I didn’t know Rachel Ray made a cat food now. She’s had dog food for several years because has a dog. It’s about time the cats got equal time! lol

    1. I agree Peggy- cats still have a long way to go though-its a dog’s world 🙁

  3. Awwww 🙂 & I am definitely hoping Rachel’s cat food is decently priced. I would love to be able to afford good quality food for my kitties. When I first got Reggie, I tried to ween him into home-made food. I pureed ground Turkey and a few other things I can’t recall anymore. He didn’t want anything to do with it, haha. But then, he was also 10 years old when I brought him home.

    1. I will let you know how my 15, well 13 ( as you know, 2 are on allergy food) like it.
