Phoebe’s Poem and Much More

Hi everyone! This has been an exciting week. I got to see my Grammie Monday night and Wednesday. I love her so very much.

My friend Toby saw my post on Sunday and decided to give me a gold medal on my bathing even though I was past the deadline- isn’t he sweet?

I have also joined my friend Nellie on Smoke and Joe’s campaign, I am the speech writer. Phobe_15andMeowingThis is my official ID.

And now for my friend Sammy’s Poetry Day with the letter K:

Kindness

Simple as a purr

to show someone you care

do something today

Someone ( who wants to remain Anonymouse) sent mom a gift card for The Tiniest Tiger and she was able to get these 2 beautiful purses. Mom was very touched that someone was so thoughtful. I know fashion and these are nice bags, they have cute little metal cat paws on the bottom and the black one has lace paw prints all around the top.

For P.S. Annie’s Throwback Thursday I have a photo from 2010, Joanie with Ricky the rabbit:

joaniebunnyShe had bunny ears on and was pretending to be a bunny too. Ricky rabbit lived to be 13 years old which is a very long time for a bunny. Throwback Thursday

And one more thing—the fill-ins for tomorrow, you know the drill. Mom came up with the first 2 and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2:

1. I wish ________________ would bring back ____________________.

2. An act of kindness that I do often is __________________________.

3.  I still have                           from my childhood

 4.  If I didn’t have___________________ , I’d be completely lost.

It is our 10th Blogiversary today. We have been looking forward to that fer a while and hope you will come and visit!

  2. Congratulations on your medal, Phoebe 🙂 The purses are lovely and love the poem about Kindness. When Joanie thought she was a rabbit, than Ricky must have thought that he was a pussycat. Very special pair 🙂 Pawkisses for a wondeful day 🙂 <3

  3. What a busy week you’ve had Phoebe!!! You’re a Gold Medal Winner in our eyes every day of the week!!! We saw Miss Nellie’s post about Boston – you did a great job helping her out and concats on being the new Speech Writer! Simon says thanks for the photo of Joanie – she still looks just as beautiful today as she did in 2010! Have a great day!!!

    1. Thank you, we had a lot of fun in Boston. Joanie says thank you and sends Simon a kiss. XO

  4. What a fun and exciting week you’ve been having, Phoebe! I am so glad that you’ve been getting to see your grammie, and that you got that much deserved gold medal in bathing! As always, your poem is wonderful. This just proves that you’ll be the most purrfect speech writer! And that was so, so sweet of one of your admirers to get your mom a gift card, and those purses are so beautiful! Now, we’re sure all this excitement will continue tomorrow. We’ll see you then for the fun fill-ins! Purrs!

    1. Thank you , I am glad you liked my poem. Mom loves her purses and was so touched that someone did that for her. XO

  5. What a nice poem, Phoebe. And those bags your mom got are pawsome! How kind of somebuddy to send your mom that giftcard. We love everything at the Tiniest Tiger.

    1. Thank you, glad you like the poem. The bags are great and Tiniest Tiger is a wonderful company that does so much to help rescues.

  6. I loved this post! You covered a lot, quite well. I had bunnies as a kid, but now I just bottle feed wild ones, as needed.
I look forward to the fill-ins. I have no idea what my own will be!

    1. Thank you, it is hard to cover so much 🙂 That is kind of you to bottle feed orphan bunnies, they have a low survival rate. Our friend rescued one this year and fed it unsweetened creamer mixed with other stuff she read on the internet then she had to find someone with a bunny to get the special poop they eat that has nutrients for them in it.

  7. Ha ha! You went for the gold. Good girl. We loved your poem and your words about kindness. You are a very wise kitty. Those purses are adorable.
Ricky must have been a really cool bunny.

    1. Thank you, I had so much fun shopping there. I have another bag coming in September too 🙂

  17. TW loves the Tiniest Tiger store. She’s bought lot of from there. Those purses are gorgeous. concats on the medals. I may let TW answer those questions this week. I have to decide.

    1. My Mom loves her bags, they are well made and very pretty. I can’t wait to see your answers or TW’s 🙂

  18. It sounds like a great week for everyone! Tell your Mama those purses are really lovely 🙂 And we love you poem too 🙂

the critters in the cottage xo

  19. Very impressive badge! Concats on the gold medal too! Your mom’s bags are very nice! It was thoughtful of your friend to send the gift certificate!

  20. I am glad that you got to see Grammie a couple of times this week. That is great.

Those bags are beautiful. 🙂 My name is Suzanne. I am a bag-a-holic! haha How sweet that someone sent your mom a gift certificate for them.

Joanie and Ricky are cute “rabbits”. 🙂 There is a kitty running around our neighborhood (wearing a collar, so apparently belongs to someone) that looks just like Joanie. We call her Irridessa.

Thanks for joining Throwback Thursday this week. 🙂 Have a blessed night.

    1. These are great bags, Mom was lucky to get a gift card and she had a coupon too 🙂 Hope you have a blessed night too.

  21. How cool that you had a bunny! We never knew! We think it is also cool that you, Phoebe, have joined Nellie on the campaign trail. Really neat badge. The items from The Tiniest Tiger are super nice. Mom saw them at the BlogPaws conference. She has a handbag from there on her Christmas wish list. Please tell Mom Ellen that our mom got her e-mail about the medicine, and she will write an e-mail to her tomorrow. We are working on our fill-ins! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

    1. Mom had a lot of bunnies, I only met 3 of them- I used to love to steal their hay. I hope you get a bag from there for Christmas, they are well made and beautiful and the company supports great causes. We know you are busy, take your time on the email. We look forward to your fill-in answers. XO

  22. That’s so nice that you got gold. I love your poem. And how nice that someone sent you a gift card. I just ordered that white bag myself. I haven’t gotten it yet, but I’m very excited!

  23. Lovely purses!!

Nice that you got that bathing medal, Phoebe; Hooray!
What a sweet poem! All the world could do well by that:)
    Hmmm: Fill ins…
    1. I wish tv producers would bring back shows that we knew as young ones. Maybe we would watch more. There are some channels that have some of them, but really there are so many more great ones.

    2. An act of kindness that I do often is buy small things for my residents when I see a need, like hairbows, lotions and so on..

    3. I still have my stuffed mickey mouse and my stuffed pajama dog that both went to the hospital with me during my childhood
    4. If I didn’t have beautiful classical music , I’d be completely lost.

    1. That is sweet that you still have your Mickey Mouse and stuffed dog from childhood. And it is very kind of you to buy things for the residents, I am sure they appreciate it. Classical music is very relaxing.
