Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone! I am enjoying the calm before the storms that will be here this weekend. Typhoid Mary Friday night and The Great One Saturday night. I am sure I will have a lot to report next week, if I survive.

Mom has gone crazy decorating for Halloween. She even put a sign on our cat tree.

This is just some of the decorations. I will show you more next week.

I haven’t mentioned Lola lately. She is doing well. Her Aunt Chloe and Uncle Joey moved in next door to the house Typhoid Mary made her.

The Great One made a zip line for Lola to sneak out of her house and go over to visit her aunt and uncle.

Brody is being a stinker. He used to take his heart pill in a pill pocket then he refused it so mom hid it in lunch meat or chicken and he fell for it for a while, but now he won’t take it. He hides behind the tv anytime mom is even moves an inch so it is a challenge for her and dad to scare him upstairs and corner him.

Well, that is all folks. See you next week, if I make it through the weekend.

    1. All ours are inside. Well, most, just the burning bush has eyes and one window has a ghost popping out. XO

  1. Dear Brody, Lynn puts my Zyrtec in a pill pocket and I hate the taste. We love seeing the Halloween decorations because they are such cheerful colors Rosie. Lynn even bought some orange lights for the first time this year and brought up the tip top of the small Christmas tree and it is now lit pretty.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Oh he takes it when I catch him daily and force it in and rub his chin to make him swallow. XO

  2. Rosie, you’ll be okay. You have many places to hide and I love Mom’s Halloween decor. 🎃 Brody, be a good kitty and take your pill. Mom is trying to keep you healthy.

  3. Lola has it MADE! I hope she knows that. And a fine home to boot!

Rosie you’ll come out of it fine. You may have a visit to the Clinic for a check-up though. Brody, you are doing what the Admiral used to do. Pill pockets worked until they didn’t. Sure makes it hard on Moms….

  5. Mom did a great job decorating for Halloween. Way cool.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to mom. ♥

  7. Rosie, Rosie, some positive thinking, please! You will not only survive, you will thrive! Say it with me, girl, “I will thrive! I will thrive!”

Thanks for the news, I’ll pray your mom finds something Brody likes which will draw him out of hiding. One vet trick is to always give a regular treat first which does not have the meds in it, then the second one that does and maybe a third small piece without. A lot of times, it can help.

  8. Rosie you must be exhausted entertaining TM and TGO…at least it was in shifts.
WTG ELLEN I LOVE YOUR DECOR…THE HAND COMING OUT OF THE WALL IS FUNNY
Angel Madi always found her pills in the pill pocket I hope you can find a way to sneak on in Brody

    Hugs Cecilia

  9. This is a fun gabfest today, Rosie! Lot’s of cute and festive decorations for Halloween and talk of more to come next week. I am sure it will be interesting both Friday and Saturday night. You never know Rosie, it might be fun 🙂 Lola is doing very well! I am thinking if there was another way to get a pill in Brody your Mom would have already thought of it 🙂

  10. It looks like your Mom is a huge Halloween fan – everything looks great!!! The girls will love it. Rosie – try not to hide the whole time. You might actually have fun.

Mom feels your pain with the pill problem. She has the same thing with Timber.

    Woos – Misty and Timber

  11. Giving medication to kitties is a challenge compared to how I remind precious childhood dogs. ~shakes head~ I wish your mom and I could shop for Halloween decorations together. 🙂 Blessings and hugs to you all, my dear.

    1. I wish. I am a bit too big for that tiny house. Yes, it would be bitter. Lately I catch him, get it in his mouth, rub his chin and blow on his nose til he swallows. XO

  13. Oona: “Oona thinks the sign on the cat tree is just truth in advertising. Cats do see all and know all.”
Java Bean: “Hmm, know-it-alls, more like—”
    Oona: “WHAT WAS THAT BEAN???”
    Java Bean: “Ayyy, nothing.”
Oona: “That is what Oona thought.”
Chaplin: “You sure do have lots of wonderful decorations. I would love to play with them … I mean, look at them from a respectful distance.”
    Charlee: “Uh-huh.”
