Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone! Did you miss me last week on my week off?

I was hoping to have a big reveal for the craft/toy room today, but it isn’t quite ready. Mom asked them not to remove the picture hangers and curtain rod because she knew it would take Dad forever to put them back up. Of course, they removed everything so now she has to wait for Dad to get them up. And she returned the pink rug because it was too bright so now she is waiting for a lighter colored one to arrive and the futon. Hopefully I can show you next week.

Good thing Slime Dancer wasn’t here today, or she would have made a fortune with all mom’s swearing. She was assembling a box-spring. They are very different now than they used to be, all metal instead of wood. Dusty, Friday and I were all trying to help and she kept getting mad at us. Their new mattress arrived early a couple weeks ago before she had time to assemble the box-spring so now she finally had a chance to assemble it.

Rudy is getting his echocardiogram today. He needs one before his dental because he has a murmur. He has to be at the vet by 7:25. Better him than me.

I thought I was going to have peace and quiet, but The Boy was here Sunday. I should have some peace now because his preschool starts tomorrow and the girls started last week. Well. that is all for now.

  2. Hello Rosie we are glad to see you back. What news you have and we see that the craft room is slowly getting back. We wish Rudy the very best when he goes to the doctor today. If he needs his teeth clean then he’s got to do this today.

  3. Hi, sweet Rosie! Lots of news today. At least the room is painted, and I’m sorry mom had trouble assembling the box spring. Purrayers that Rudy’s echo goes okay.

  4. Fingers crossed for Rudy. Your mom deserves to say a naughty word or two. She has been waiting to get that craft room done forever!

  5. Fingers crossed for Rudy the Ginger Boy ๐Ÿคž
Very good gabfest today, Rosie. Yes, you were missed very much. Too bad Slime Dancer wasn’t there for the swearing!

  6. Chaplin: “Hi Rosie! You are looking very content there, are you making muffins? I bet you are making muffins. In fact I can practically hear you purring …”
Charlee: “Speaking of purring, we send lots of purrs for Rudy to get a good report from his echo!”
Lulu: “And we dogs send lots of tail wags!”

  7. Rosie, what a LOT going on! I sure know what you mean, pr your Mom rather, about leaving some things alone while painting, Same thing here. They pulled them all out anyway !!

  8. Lots of things going on at your house. We’re all caught up now. Thank you for that.

OMCs OMCs Ellen I tell you one thing any type of renovation are enhancing in a home would require me to have need a Brinks trucks for my SWEAR money….especially when the workers don’t listen.
Years ago we had the entire interior of house painting and new carpet. Madi and I were sequestered in the office…I PUT a note on the door CAT IN THE ROOM DO NOT ENTER………in 100 font red bold letters.
OF COURSE they entered the only good thing at that particular time I was in the room with Madi.
    Hugs Cecilia

  11. Tell your mom she should be able to put everything back up, especially since she assembled that box spring. ~nods~ Heaven knows I’ve had to learn how to install window treatments. lol It’s not terribly difficult. Best wishes on those test results and a quiet autumn, precious!

  12. I would need a big chest to collect $$ for all the bad words I can say about this and that…outloud and under my breath, LOL! Some are not even in English, teehee.
Glad that box spring got put together. ..no easy feat! ANd why workers can’t follow directions is beyond me. We found that our when we fenced our yard. Six companies gave their estimates and diagrams of the proposed work…after hubby gave then a detailed ‘blueprint’ of how he wanted it done, and only one company got it right. Sheesh. Of course they got the bid, even though they were the most expensive.

I hope Rudy passes his echo so he can safely have his dental.

    1. I wouldn’t guess you to swear. I am glad you found a company that understood. Thank you. We won’t know right away. XO

  13. Sending purrayers for Rudy’s echo… to go well, and for Mom to get everything shipshape.

  14. Yep, painters take everything down, I think it’s a law or something.

I wish I could have been there to help your mom with the bed, I enjoy doing those things.

Thanks for the news update and I hope Rudy had a good report.

  15. A nice update, Rosie. When it comes to a revamp, delays are always inevitable. It just make the reveal that much more appreciated and builds up the excitement. We’re looking forward to it! Have a calm and quiet rest of the week.
