Hi everyone. I am exhausted.

I thought I was safe until school vacation next week, but boy was I wrong. All 3 showed up here Sunday at 4:30 and were here for 4 hours. They were so loud, my ears still hurt. A lot of slime was made. I think Typhoid Mary should be nicknamed Slime Girl. And now The Boy likes to play with the slime. Actually, The Great One made some too. They are a slimy family.

Last week on the letter E, my mom told you about Ethel and angel Elvira, but she forgot poor Angel Emmy.

She was a toy hoarder. We used to have contests to see who could guess how many toys she had in her collection. She had over 50.

Today is L day on The A-Z Blogging Challenge.L is for Lucy. There have been 2 Lucys here, sadly, both are angels.

The first Lucy, was here from 2001 until 2015. My folks adopted her when someone they knew had a baby and no longer wanted her.

The second Lucy was the sister of ferals Bridget and Ethel. She was only with us a few years when she passed from a blood clot.

And one more thing….please keep praying for our Penny. The vet suggested a dermatologist, so Mom agreed then he says she needs to be off her meds for 3 weeks to do any testing which is impossible. Then she asked for a different antibiotic instead of the shot. He basically suggested it was time to let her go, but he agreed to the new antibiotic. She was responding well to it, but there is another lesion starting so she is also on prednisone again. Please pray, purr , send good thoughts–anything. Thank you.

  1. O, dear, poor, Penny. We’ll pawray that she’ll get relief from her skin issues. Imgine the vet saying she should be PTS…sheesh ☹️

    Slime sounds like a lot of fun…
    We had a LOT od slime here when petcretary opened the plumbing under the sink to fix a probelm there, it was so gross! (and not fun at all, LOL!)

  2. Major purrs for Penny, Ellen! Awww, Angel Emmy was a cutie pie! Rosie, sounds like a noisy, slimey good time for the kids, but for you, not so much, lol! XO

  3. Who would want a baby over a cat????
    Ms Ellen, the time might be here. We are very aware of the difficulty, the sadness and eventual memories of a beloved kitty, but the kitty is the main one suffering and is so, so unhappy.

  4. Have you thought about taking Penny to different vet at a different practice. They might have other treatments or suggestions. In the mean time I send prayers for her.
    Poor Rosie, I am sorry you had such a noisy Sunday evening, and hope you found a good place to hide.
    Both Angels Lucy are beautiful, and look so alike. Of course Angel Emmy is lovely to.

  5. We are sending TONS of prayers for dear Penny – we imagine she’s not comfortable and hope she’s not hurting so we hope something works to help her soon.

  6. Oh, poor Penny. I am sending major prayers, and a lot of purrs. Sweet pic of Angels Emmy, and the 2 Lucy’s. Poor Rosie, get some rest while you can. Hugs.

  7. Angel Emmy did deserve a post of her own. And I am so sorry to hear how Penny is not doing well. I hope you can find someone that can treat her issue and that you do not have to let her go. And I know your heart’s breaking at the mere thought of it.

    And I’ve got a thing to say about vets who bring up euthanasia whenever a cat’s health gets to be sticky, as it’s now happened to me a few times.
    Angel Emmy certainly had a toy hoard.
    Angels Lucy and Lucy had a loving place for their final days, and that’s what matters.

  9. Someone else said what I was racing to the bottom of the comments so I could say it too. Can you find another Vet? A second opinion…even a third is completely alright. No Vet should mind that. Penny, I send you LOTS of love and blessings too. I hope there is someone else who can take on your case. Is there a specialist for the second opinion? You are a member of the family…I know you know that, and I want you to be all better.
    I loved remembering the Angels. I remember all but one. xo

  10. Sorry Penny is still having problems. A dermatologist is a good idea though honestly, I don’t know about being off meds in order to do that. Sending her purrs.

    I’m sure the kiddos had a good time making Slime. We hope you are able to catch up with rest after their visit, Rosie.

  16. Can’t forget Emmy! Thankful that the two Lucy girls found their way to you. They were loved♥
    Sending prayers and healing hugs for Penny and for sure a better solution for her skin issue than to “let her go.” I know that time comes but I am hoping for healing and feeling better.
    Rosie, I am sensitive to noise and it’s not fun. With kids you get noise. I was noisy once. I think you do a pretty good job finding a place to hide and feel safe.

    All of your angels have been so precious, I do remember Emmy and her toys.

    Maybe next time the kids come over you can convince them to spend a little while playing the quiet game.
