Rosie! Wake up!

Sorry about that everyone. I have been getting lots of rest with no kids around. I got some dirt on my mom for you this week. I wish my dad read this because she would be in big trouble. Last Wednesday she picked the girls up from school because they had another half day. Her and Grammie were with the kids for three hours before their dad got home. Mom couldn’t find her keys so she went outside to see if she dropped them and her car was running. She left her car running for 3 hours!! She is so lucky that some kid didn’t get in and try to drive it.

Brody could use some prayers for his dental on Wednesday. We are all worried because of his heart despite the cardiologist’s approval for the dental. His teeth are bad and Mom doesn’t want him to suffer so she is taking the chance.

And don’t tell Penny, but she has an appointment on Wednesday too. The prednisone is not helping her autoimmune skin disorder. She is going to need another antibiotic shot.

The Boy said he wanted to come over so it looks like Saturday is the day. I think I will go find a hiding place now. Plus, Mom is getting all our costumes lined up for a Halloween photo shoot that I don’t want to be a part of. See you next week.

  2. I did that once, eons ago, in the seventies…left the car running and went shopping with my Mum. At least back then you could lock the car while the keys were still in the ignition. Not these days…thankfully!
    If I shut the car door with the keys in the ignition it sends out a loud beeping to warn me.
    I bett he costumes will be amazing!

    1. Hmmm…my car wouldn’t make a sound so I am lucky I didn’t lock it. I always ise the fob to lock it to be sure I won’t lock myself in. Thanks for the POTP. XO

  3. Uh oh, your mom was very lucky the car was still there! I did similar after the first lockdown. We bought a new car because they were very reduced with people not able to drive anywhere. A few days later we went for a long drive to a town we are not familiar with. Ivor parked up and because I am unable to walk far he said he would look for a café and come back for me. I decided I would start to walk in the direction he went so he wouldn’t have to come all the way back. I met him on the way back and he asked for the car keys. I hadn’t thought to take them out of the ignition or lock the car! I have never seen him move so fast to get back to the car which luckily was still there. Needless to say, we didn’t stop to go in a café!
    I hope everything goes well for Brody’s dental, and for Penny.
    I hope you can find a good hiding place for Saturday, and for when the costumes come out.

  4. Rosie, your poor kitty, having to find a place to hide before The Boy comes over. I got a chuckle from your mom and her car running for 3 hrs. Most likely we’ve all had a similar situation. Prayers and purrs for sweet Brody.

  5. Lots going on there! My friend and I went to lunch. Her car was so quiet she forgot to turn it off so it ran in a restaurant parking lot for the entire lunch. She was lucky no one hopped in and took off! Hugs for the two vet bound kitties. I have one that will go sometime this fall. It’s mostly routine with one question for the vet. Hopefully it’s not serious.

    If I had done that with my car keys I would have never lived it down! Rosie are you really gonna tell Daddy about it? That’s not nice now! Penny, it’ll be alright. Just a quick smarting feeling. Brody, I, and Precious too, will have you in our prayers!

  17. Oh, we hope so much the vets go well. Teeth are so important and mama let mine go a bit too long but after the cleaning I was happy. Rosie, when the boy comes to visit, we hope you make like a drum and beat it, haha.

    (Psst…your Mama is lucky the car didn’t run out of gas either, wo that when she got in it next time she wouldn’t know why it wouldn’t run and that it was out in the driveway not inside a garage !)

  20. Purrs for Brody and Penny! A couple years ago I was out shopping and had to go back to the car to get something. I continued shopping and suddenly realized I didn’t have my keys with me. I had left them on the driver’s seat with the door unlocked! This was in a busy parking lot just before Christmas too!

  23. Rosie, you look so warm fuzzy I want to curl up with you. Prayers coming straight to Brody. Hoping Penny’s shot does not scare her. Lips zipped about the car thing with your Mom. We peeps all do things like that. Life just get overwhelming and we forget. It would be very wise to scope out a hidey place and stake your claim, Rosie. Looking forward to seeing you next week!

  30. I’ve left the car running a couple of times since the boys moved in. There’s something about children that’s very distracting.
