Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone!  My mom lied to me. She said I would have a few weeks of peace and quiet and then Saturday her and Grammie went to Typhoid Mary’s soccer game and came home with both girls.

Did you see Rusty and Rudy’s selfies on Sunday with The Great One?

Did you see her sharing with me? No- of course not because she only shared with those two monsters. She didn’t even offer me a lick.

They spent like 5 hours making slime again. They even convinced mom to give up her shaving cream so they could make it fluffier.

They were so loud. Mom said it was music to her ears. Dad asked her if she was crazy then he went outside.

Mom is not only a liar, but she is a quitter too. She quit the tap lessons before she started. She had been told they started on 9/7, but when she got there the door was locked. She called and the lady said, ” I guess it starts next week,” So mom was miffed that she wasted time and the owner didn’t even apologize. Plus. she was nervous in the neighborhood because some guy was yelling at his girlfriend on his phone and swearing. I don’t know…I think she was just chicken.

That is all I have for this week.  I did get a peek at her sister’s photos and there are some of my mom when she was younger. I will try to scan those for you for next week.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  1. Wow Rosie, that’s a really comprehensive report! I love your picture this week, too, you’ve got gorgeous green eyes! Sounds like good times are being had, just a bit noisy … I guess fun and noise just naturally go together! XO

  2. Rosie, you poor kitty, having to deal with such hoopla. From your description of the tap dancing situation, I would quit too.

  3. My Mom and I agree that whoever it was that your Mom was talking to, didn’t deserve the business or th students! Good on your Mom! And yes, kids can be l-o-u-d! My mom is like you though…when the grandson comes over, loud happy sounds are music to her ears too. Rosie you look like a million. You always do! XX

  4. A lot going on at your house. I’m sorry for all the noise over the weekend. I’m with your mom on the tap lessons. I wouldn’t go back either. just saying.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to mom. ♥

  5. Sometimes moms have to change their plans after they’ve promised something. I’m sure she’ll make it up to you. How disappointing that the tap dance peeps were so cavalier. Good on her-I think I’d have done the same thing.

  6. Good to find out what the tap dance woman was like and that the neighborhood was a bit scary. That was a very good thing to find out. I think your Mom probably helped out her niece with a little time she needed. And your Mom loves to have the girls over. Maybe you could forgive her this time, Rosie. This is a sweet picture of you. Looks like a perfect loaf position you have going on. Hoping you have some quiet for the rest of the week.

    1. She did pay for 2 lessons, but she is not going to ask for a refund. She thinks ballroom would be fun. Her and dad took some lessons before their wedding back in the stone age. XO

  9. Rosie, you certainly got the short-end of the stick!
Maybe there will be another tap class somewhere else, that your Meowmy will feel more comfortable attending.

  10. “I guess it starts next week?” Your mom needs to find a real dance studio, or find classes through your local park and recreation commission if you have one, or something like that.

Having loud kids around was normal here for many years, I hope the kids enjoyed their fun and slime making.

    1. I wish there was a local recreation place or senior center that offered them. They had a lot of fun with the slime making. XO

  11. You should ask your Dad if he’ll take you outside with him next time! Not fair he can escape and you can’t 🙂

  12. Rosie, I LOVE it when other cats tell on their Peeps! I was digging around in Mom’s dresser and I found her pick teddy that was given to her when she was born. Mom did NOT appreciate me bunny kicking it! Thanks for stopping by my Adventure! Keep being AWESOME! Marvelous Marv

  13. Oh, the stress of life, you sweet kitty but when some idiot is yelling at his girlfriend, best to tap dance away to a safer haven….your mama is so cool, even WANTING to tap dance. And slime…what do they DO with it???

  14. Chaplin: “Hmm, having a studio owner or instructor tell you they ‘guess’ the class starts next week does not exactly inspire confidence …”
Charlee: “Poor Rosie! I would also hate to be promised peace and quiet and then end up with noisy slime. I think I would hide under the sofa for a week.”
Oona: “You do that anyway, do you not?”
Charlee: “Yes but this time I would have a good reason.”
