Mewsic Monday

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Mewsic Moves Me (hosted by Curious as a Cathy,Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked.) The mewsic theme for the entire month of December was Christmas music so even though the radio has stopped playing it, I have not.

I decided to do a tribute to some artists that passed away in 2018. Here they are with some Christmas songs they had recorded.

  1. Aretha Franklin-

2.Roy Clark-

3. Nancy Wilson-

Here is an old edited photo I made back in 2014 of Lucy at Times Square. Have a nice and safe New Year’s Eve everyone!

  1. We lost a lot of great voices this past year……I hope we as a PEOPLE can FIND OUR VOICE in the new year. Happy New Year everybody!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  2. Ellen,

Happy New Year, good ole friend! 🙂 Incidentally, your first video is blocked for viewing directly on site. I was able to listen to it by clicking on the redirect link back to YT. 😉 I’m not sure that I knew Roy Clark had passed away (11-15-2018). Everything has been a blur since early November and I certainly didn’t know that Nancy Wilson died on Dec. 13th. Aretha got the most media attention with her passing. Another year has slipped away taking with it a lot of our favorite entertainers. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with me today. I’ve enjoyed your friendship and am looking forward to its continued growth in the coming new year. May God’s blessings be with you and yours throughout 2019!

    1. Thank you. I am thankful for your friendship. I wish you a happy and healthy new year! XO

  3. What an awesome tribute, Ellen! Thanks so much for dancing with us throughout the year – here’s to an inspirational 2019! Hope you have a very Happy New Year! 🙂

  4. Some great artists that will be missed.

Love Lucy ringing in the new year.

Thanks for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect day and a very happy and healthy New Year. My best to your peeps. ♥

  5. Very nice choices. I tried playing a rock and roll Christmas album today but my iPod touch refused to cooperate for whatever reason. It only wanted to play the same two songs. ??? I finally gave up and switched to Slipknot. Heh… The house is rocking now. 🙂 Happy New Year!

  6. What great music for New Year’s Eve! And Lucky is Lucky to have been at Times Square. We are going to do nothing special tonight…except maybe write some resolutions!

  7. I think it is wonderful that you chose songs by artists who passed away in 2018. I also really appreciate that you chose Christmas songs, as I’m still very much in the Christmas spirit. Happy New Year!

  8. Love the Lucy in TImes Square photo, mol! I didn’t know about Nancy Wilson or Roy Clark, all great artists in their own right.
    Happy New Year to you!

  9. I leave my decorations up and like listening to Christmas music for the entire Twelve Days!
