Hi everyone. I apologize for two posts in one day, but I had a special book review to do, but I also lreally liked today’s Mewsic theme too. We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Mewsic Moves Me hosted by Curious as a Cathy,Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked. The theme for Mewsic Monday is Rock Bands for Rocktober. We were asked to choose a decade and I chose the 1980’s which I feel had some of the best music.
First off- Van Halen- I was sad to hear of his passing last week. Here is my favorite song of theirs-
- When It’s Love ( 1988):
2. Mötley Crue-Home Sweet Home ( 1985)-
3. Ratt- Round and Round (1984)-
4. .Journey- Separate Ways(1983)-
5.Posion-Every Rose Has Its Thorn (1988)-
Hmmm…not really the music I enjoy, but its great that there is music to please everyone, and when the theme is what you like,, that is great!
Thank you. 🙂 Nothing I listen to now. I mostly listen to Frank Sinatra now. XO
It was a sad loss indeed. His legend will live on..
Hugs, Pam
Yes, it will. XO
Home Sweet Home is one of my all time favorites! — I was also sad to hear about Eddie Van Halen. I think I could listen to your playlist (big smiles here)
Glad we have similar taste in music 🙂 XO
I was in high school in the 80’s and I agree that the music was great back then.
Me too 🙂
Since his passing I’m learning more about V.H. music and talent. Being a child of the 60’s I never knew much about him.
Hugs Cecilia
He was very talented. XO
Ellen,
I’m glad you joined the 4M crew on the dance floor today. It came as a real shock to read the mews of Eddie Van Halen’s death last week. In the past two weeks four mewsicians passed. The 80s was an excellent decade for mewsic. A lot of great hits came out of the 80s and you shared some of the best songs from that period. Have a boogietastic week, dear furriend!
Thank you. 🙂 Yes, it was. XO
Incredibly sad about Eddie Van Halen. I agree that the 80’s had some excellent music. Love Journey. You have some rockin’ good tunes here.
Thank you. 🙂 XO
Good choices for music. And it was very sad news about Eddie Van Halen’s passing. xo
Thank you. XO
My kinda mewsic, Ellen! Eddie Van Halen, one of the best guitarists – RIP!
Yes, he was. XO
Haven’t heard of these groups in years. I remember living through those years. Although, I didn’t listen to that type of music.
Yes, it has been a long time since they were popular. XO
I’m actually not too familiar with these groups but will check them out later! Thanks for posting! XO
You’re welcome 🙂 XO
We like all of those tunes too and we really were sad about EVH.
That was sad news.
Ahhhhh Journey! My most favorite group! It’s a shame about the lead singer! What a classic voice he had…. although he’s trying to make a come back and personally I hope he makes it. His voice isn’t as high as it use to be, but it still has that fine quality! Journey is living off the old songs for sure. You have some real quality songs here. Thanks for joining us… stay healthy my friend!
You’re welcome. Stay healthy too.

I can still remember where I was the first time I heard Runnin with the Devil…no joke…and in my mind, that’s the song that launched their career….♥♥♥♥♥♥
Yes, I think it was. XO
Nice tunes!
Very sad about Eddie Van Halen.
Thank you. XO
Great choice of records. The last video isn’t available in my country though.
Thank you. 🙂 Sorry one isn’t available in your country. XO
Great choices! I remember roller skating to some of these in grade school!
Most of these were popular when I was in high school. 🙂
You went with a good decade!
Thank you. 🙂
This kind of music reminds me of the good old days!
Those were the good old days. 🙂
Such a cool lineup. Love all these songs. I picked a different Van Halen song. Love this song lineup.
Thank you.
Very nice playlist. I have to admit that, although I chose early Van Halen songs for my blog post, I’m partial to When It’s Love. Love those 80’s power ballads.
Thank you. Me too. 🙂
