Mewsic Monday

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Mewsic Moves Me hosted by Curious as a Cathy,Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked. The theme for Mewsic Monday is songs about walking and this month’s honorary co-host is Marie, Athena’s Mum.

1. Pink’s Walk Me Home- One of my current favorite songs.

2.Walk the Line ( The Joaquin Phoenix version)-

3. Jerry Lewis singing You’ll Never Walk Alone at the end of the 1987 MDA Telethon. I chose this because my great aunt used to love to hear him sing that. Plus it is most appropriate for what everyone is going through right now.

And Nurse Joanie has a public service message for everyone.

We recommend everyone should get a Pulse Oximeter. This is the thing the Dr. puts on your finger to check your pulse and oxygen levels. You want your oxygen levels to be 97-99, when they get lower, you are in trouble. When I had pneumonia, mine was 93 and by the time I went to the Dr., it was 91. You can get one for about $25, well worth it.

Stay healthy everyone!

PS: Thank you to my friend Jamie for redseigning my blog and adding the medical mask to the cat on the header. If you are looking for a graphic designer, I highly recommend his work. To see his website, click here.

And if you need some retail therapy, he makes cool sculptures that are for sale on Etsy. Click here

  1. Hello Girlfriend, How’s it going? Hope this note finds you well and music is just what we need to pick up our spirits, don’t you think? Well, great minds think alike! We both had the same song! hahaha I too posted Pink. I think your best one is the Jerry Lewis video that brought a tear to my eyes for sure… especially this day and what is happening to America. I think President Trump should play it as his theme. He’s a good man. Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting that great tune. You’re duh best! HUGS!!!

  2. My human is thinking of picking up one of those things next time she goes out!

  3. That is a good choice of music. Your redesign looks lovely, but I can’t see your header.

    1. Thank you 🙂 Sorry you can’t see the header, he designed it to show on phones and computers 🙁 XO

  4. Excellent advice, Nurse Joanie, and thanks for the wonderful music!

    Your redesign is wonderful.

  5. Looks great here, Ellen! Thank you Nurse Joanie! Some good music! Will check out your link.

  6. I had the pleasure of seeing Jerry Lewis a few years ago. He sat on the stage and spent the evening talking about his career, etc. And yes, you’re right, we need to hear that song today.

  7. That was a really good playlist today and you look really cute Nurse Joanie.

  8. I really like your makeover…Jamie is talented.
Hugs and thanks for the music

  9. Two classics here, I Walk the Line and You’ll Never Walk Alone. I saw the Johnny Cash movie the other day and as stunned that Joaquin Phoenix was the lead. Cash wrote the song in order to remind himself to stay faithful to his wife while on the road. I don’t know how many will still remember the annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day telethon for Muscular Distrophy and how he would end his nearly 24 consecutive hours on the air with this song. Thanks for sharing it. Have a blessed day.

  10. The header is cute!! Nurse Joanie is smart! Mom has one of those pulse/ox things plus one on her phone.

  11. Love the videos today. Lots of walking going on.

Your blog looks amazing. Wow. Love your header. Adorable.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug, Ellen and lots of lovies to all the kitties. ♥

  12. Ellen,

I didn’t recognize your blog. The layout is different from what I’m used to. lol I’m glad you decided to put your boogie shoes on to join the 4M crew on the dance floor. Excellent tip on the oxygen sensor. That might be a good idea especially with all this nasty stuff going on. Have a great day!

  13. I love those! I was on local T.V. on a Jerry Lewis telethon once, presenting a check our employees had raised money on behalf of one of our coworkers who had MLS. Thanks for the memory!

  14. That was great mewsic, miss Ellen and you’re looking cute as ever Joanie😸Clean Pawkisses for a Happy Monday. Stay Safe Healthy and Yourselfie🐾😽💞

  15. Great set here! You’re the first to use “I Walk The Line,” I think…

  16. Your blog is looking great. The song Jerry Lewis is singing always makes me cry.

Thank you for your kind words about the loss of my Trudy. I appreciate it.

    1. Thank you 🙂 That song makes me cry too. Again, I am sorry about your sweet kitty. XO

  17. First of all, the blog looks great – love that header.

Since Mom just got back from a long walk through the neighborhood, those songs are quite appropriate. She loved and remembers all of them.

    Woos, Lightning and Timber

  18. Your blog looks amazing…and how cute is that mask on the kitty?!?!?!

  19. Cute masked kitty header!

Petcretary has a pulse oximeter in her pocket for years!
She uses it at her work…though not lately…she doesn’t want to risk getting it ‘cootiefied’…

  20. Ah, great post. ~hugs~ I adore Joaquin Phoenix. He never likes reprising roles, so his performances never stale (as if they could) though he’s interested in a “Joker” sequel (!) which we here anticipate greatly. I believe I mentioned before but must state again that he and Nic Cage were great together in the stark drama “8 mm”. Take care!

    1. I saw 8mm and I remember Nic and James Gandolfini in it, but not Joaquin.

  21. Great songs and I hope that you and yuor family are staying safe.

  22. I really like that version of “Walk The Line”. So catchy!

And nurse Joanie is so sweet!

  23. What wonderful songs! I’ve always been a fan of P!nk’s voice. I’m not a big fan of all of her songs, but I do think she has a very distinctive voice. And nurse Joanie makes a very good point about having a pulse oximeter. I don’t have one, but it certainly would be wise to have one on hand, especially with what’s going on these days. Purrs and well wishes!

    1. I am the same, I like her voice, but not all her songs 🙂 Keep well. XO

  24. Two classics and a Pink song I like (I run a bit hot and cold on her, although she is a great talent and a great aerialist) . Pulse oximeter? I did have one of those “radar gun” thermometers – had bought one black Friday, just because it was cheap – and I’m using it twice a day. So…maybe?
