Loop Yarn Tree

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Create with Joy’s Inspire Me Monday blog hops.

FIrst, the awww portion-Sammy posing with the loop yarn.

Last Monday, I helped Typhoid Mary make a loop yarn tree. Her favorite color is purple so we used a skein of purple loop yarn, a styrofoam cone, and a bunch of stickers, pipe cleaners and buttons. You could also buy a package of mini ornaments to put on it.

I had her unroll the yarn while I hot glue gunned it to the tree. And burned my fingers many times. I made sure she did not touch it. After that, I let her use regular glue to add the embellishents. She even gave it some eyes.

What do you think? Keep in mind she is 3. 🙂

And we want to wish a Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate!

  1. Ellen,

What a fun activity for Typhoid Mary! I know she had a ball creating the first Christmas DIY project for the season. I hope y’all had a blessed and enjoyable Thanksgiving, my dear. Now, it’s time for Christmas! I have a prelude already on my site today and if you want to join the fun then add some Christmas music to your Monday posts then link up with the 4M crew. We’d love to have you join us! 😉
