Hi everyone ! Today we are wordy on Wednesday. I have a great water fountain to tell you about.
*Disclosure: I received the Laika Aqua Pet Water Fountain in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are my own.
I was excited when Laika Pets contacted me about reviewing their water fountain. I think t is important to have water fountains in different parts of the house to encourage cats to drink. And when I went to their website to check it out, I was very pleased to see it has a quadruple filtration system and germicidal UV light. It is also very quiet which is a big plus being that I wanted a fountain for the bedroom as Joanie is in there most of the time and Sammy is in there all night long too- and Rosie and usually Emmy too.
It was very easy to assemble. The filter was already inside, all I had to do was add water to the very large (2.7L) removable reservoir. Then I put the cover back on and plugged it in.
Penny checked it our first. She did drink from it, but of course, the second I tried to snap a photo, she moved away.
Sammy was much more cooperative. And he has been enjoying it as well as Joanie.
It doesn’t make any noise so I am keeping it in the bedroom. It does have a little light which is good to help the cats find their way to it. It is a good price ( $47.99) for such a high quality and comes with an extra filter. The red light turns on when the water level gets low or when a new filter is needed.
The only negative is that it is plastic so if your cat has an allergy to plastic then I would not recommend it, but otherwise, it is fantastic.

Great review but Daisy Mae I think is allergic to plastic but not sure. I just likes metal bowls better and there is less itching.
Definitely stick with metal is she is allergic. XO
That looks like such a nice fountain! It’s good that the kitties like it, too! XO
It is a good one. 🙂 XO
MOL at Penny! My human had to shoot a video of a water fountain with me (not the Laika), and I didn’t drink from it during the shoot either. Of course, I did later!
Kitties like to keep humans guessing. 🙂
That looks a very nice fountain. Being quiet is a big plus.
Yes, it is. XO
Looks like a nice water fountain….plastic is a problem for lots of kitties though. Still – good price and if it’s quiet then that’s DEFINITELY a plus!
Hugs, Pam
It is nice. 🙂 XO
What a good idea looks good for them
Have a waterfountaintastic week 👍
Thank you. 🙂 Hope you have a nice week too.
Nice water fountain! Lucky kitties! I just drink around the house at various “fountains” haha. Thank you for giving us good info about so many things, and hello from Roma!
Your folks should get you on to make up for leaving you for a month. XO
We had a PetSafe water fountain for several years until it finally got tired of us and died. We all loved it, but keeping it clean and all the filter changing and stuff was a lot of work. Enjoy your fountain.
I agree it is a lot of work. My hubby manages 2 of them and I am in charge of this one.
I think water fountains are a great way to get cats to drink water. Great review! Love having Sammy and Penny help with the testing!
Thank you. 🙂 They were good helpers. XO
What a great idea! I’ll look into this. We give Callie water from the refrig since it is filtered. Happy Noodle Day!
That is a good idea to give filtered water. We have a well and it goes through a filter. XO
That looks like a great fountain!
It is. 🙂
Angel Madi adored drinking from all the water fountains she had over her 16 1/2 years. She loved water fall portion where water came down into the bowl.
Hugs cecilia
We have some like that too and the cats love them. XO
Great idea!
Thank you. 🙂
This sounds like the Cadillac of feline water fountains! Because of Bridget’s kidney issues, she drinks water all. the. time! Thanks for sharing this information.
It would be great for Bridget. I have a Bridget too. 🙂 XO
That looks like a good one, and quiet with lights that alert you to water levels and filter – very nice!
Nice features. 🙂
You are the best! ~hugs~
Thank you. 🙂 Right back at you. XO
Gosh if I only had extra outlets I’d buy this is a NY minute!
You need more outlets definitely. XO
That looks a lot nicer than other water fountains I’ve seen.
It is a nice one.
We could use a very large one of those here. Misty just loves to splash the water all over the tile floor and then lie in it to cool down. This could save Mom a lot of floor cleaning:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
They do have a larger one. XO
clever fountain! Darling kitties!
Thank you. 🙂 XO
That really is very nice, we agree, too bad it’s plastic!
Stainless would make it the perfect fountain.
That’s a really cool fountain! Mudpie doesn’t have a fountain but I think she would like one.
I am surprised she doesn’t have one.
This fountain does sound superb, Ellen. I often wonder if our fountain needs more water and to have a light go on when it does ned water is a bonus for us.
It is a great buy. XO
The problem we have with water fountains is that Link, the one that likes to drink out of a dripping faucet and would benefit from it the most, wants to hear the water running before he will drink it. Silent fountains do him no good, he won’t go near them because if he can’t hear the water, he doesn’t want it!
This one wouldn’t work for him, but almost every other kind I have gotten my cats makes noise. XO
That looks like a nice fountain.
I almost got a stainless steel one the other day…but right now, I don’t want anything else that needs maintenance…I am trying to keep things simple:)
I have an older platic one in the cellar…II had it before Pipo & Minko, but Pipo kept playing in it so much, the water level would go way down, and he really made a mess with it, and who wants to drink water that somefurs paws have played in??
Fountains are a lot to maintain. This one says to clean every 3 days so that is not too bad. XO
That looks like a great fountain, but plastic probably would not work here. We like how it is quiet!
I like the quiet too. 🙂 XO
Too many comments for me to read but is it easy to clean and put back together?
Yes, it is easy to clean and put back together. XO
Sounds like a good fountain! That’s great that it is quiet too.
It is.
Am glad that more inventors are trying to the purrfect water fountain for cats that doesn’t cost as much as a dental appointment at the vet!
Good point. 🙂
