Joanie’s Traveling Cow

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww…Mondays and Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

I know you are all eager to find out about Joanie’s cow. I recently read a new book titled The Milk Lady of Bangladore: An Unexpected Adventure by Shoba Narayan. It is a memoir about a woman who moves back to India after 20 years in the United States. One thing we learn is that cows are sacred in India. People pay money to have a cow walk through their new home because it is good luck.

Joanie decided she would like to get a cow and send it to her friends so they can have good luck too. This cow is going to travel like Phoebe’s shades and bikini did. The stuffed cow will travel in the United States. We will be making a flat version to travel to Canada and everywhere else in the world. If you want a visit from Moo ( Joanie named her) just let us know in the comment section and we will contact you for your address.

  4. Simon definitely wants a visit from Joanie. Oh, wait. I meant from Moo. Please don’t put Joanie in a box and mail her!! Now, if you want to drive or fly her here… In the meantime we will love to have Moo stop by on her tour of the country.

    1. Joanie would love to visit Simon as long as I was with her, she needs her Mom. We will send Moo to visit though. XO

  5. Moo can bring us good luck any old time! We’d be happy to show her our little corner of Virginia. We have lots of grass growing for her to munch on and Teddy can give her a tour of the garden!

    Hugs, Pam

  14. Hmm, we wonder if Moo would like to visit the Pacific Northwest? We’re not sure we could find any real cows Moo could visit, but certainly Moo would hear the dairy cows mooing, like we do, from the farm a mile away!

  15. Moo looks like our little stuffie Mooshie. Pop says they should be sacred here too. He can come and visit Mooshie and our other stuffie cows. Pop used to sponsor cows at the Popcorn Park Zoo.

  16. We love visitors, and although we’ve never had a cow visit, it would be lots of fun, all of us are sure of that. Maybe Moo would want to see a swamp?

  19. Oh, Miss Moo!
    I would love for you,
to come to my den, too!

How cool that your visit brings good things
To all the dens you visit by way of the postal wings!

Petcretary says it is a fun idea indeed! Do you think the local cows would be impressed with her talents?

  20. […] I look a little vexed in this photo, it is because I am! Moo here came to visit all the way from the 15 and Meowing kitties on the other side of the county. Joanie sent her off to see cat friends all over the U.S. When she arrived here, it was just in time […]

  21. We can use a little Moo-luck here in the Netherlands too, Joanie. Btw do you think I bring luck too as a cowkitten? Good Luck Pawkisses for a Happy Wednesday to all of you???
