It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Book Date’s It’s Monday What are YOU Reading?

Sammy is the awww…worthy part and he is posing with a book I highly recommend.  Untamed by Glennon Doyle Melton is part memoir and part self-help. She is a very brave woman that changes her entire life even though it was difficult and affects her children. She points out that many stay in marriages for their kids, but that is only teaching kids to settle instead of living the life that is right for them. I am not recommending divorces for all, but in her situation it made sense. I liked it so much that I copied several pages to refer to. I am happily married, but it still made me think about what I want out of life.

And before I go, I want to remind you all about Lagniappe,  my friend at Whiskeratti has now adopted her despite her age and many health problems. She has a gofund for her care and has already used half of the money for her care. If anyone donates $20, I will send you a catnip mat and some crocheted toys. Just let me know in the comments if you do. Sorry I can only afford US postage.   And prayers are always good too.  To read more about her, click here.

  1. Interesting book. My parents divorced and I understand their reasons. I’ve stayed married.
I’m glad Lagniappe has such a nice person to care for her! XO

  2. That sounds like a very good read, thanks for the heads-up. You are so kind to help Lagniappe, everyone loves your toys and mats, it should get a lot of responses.

  3. Sammy is most Awww worthy.

People need to be happy and staying for your kids doesn’t make your kids happy either. Quite the opposite. I’ve been divorced and I’m happy I did get a divorce.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Ellen. Scritches all around. ♥

  4. We can all learn more that will help strengthen our marriages and help us in life, this sounds like that kind of book.

  10. I love that Whiskeratti took that baby into her heart and arms. And I also understand that Brody knew her Leia very well. 🙂 Yes indeedy.

  11. I am still reading only blogs because of my eyes. I am going to look into audio books. Sammy is always AWWW Worthy! I am so thankful that Whiskeratti adopted Lagniappe. I am going to read more about her at using your link.

  12. Charlee: “Our Dada just started reading something called ‘The Magicians’ about some people who get recruited to go to a college for … magicians.”
Chaplin: “He’s probably hoping it’s an instruction manual for how to apply.”

  13. Sammy is a good book promoter. Thank you I love reading and always looking for something good to read. Glad Lagniappe has a good home. Thank you for sharing. Take care
