We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

I am thankful for Joanie and Sammy who are turning 13 today. I wanted cake ( any excuse for cake) , but later today they will get their gifts and treats. We will show those photos tomorrow.

Millie and Penny are thankful they get to be the kitties to use this cool fountain we won from Lola. It is a Petmate Fresh Flow Rain fountain that is battery operated.  It shuts off automatically and turns back on every 15 minutes. Of course, I am not one to read directions so I thought it was broken when it stopped and I couldn’t get it to start again.My hubby solved that mystery.

Here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day to go with this photo:

Before there was tv and internet
this hobby would keep you out of debt.
It will take you anywhere
even face to face with a bear.
Luckily, we still have books
even if some are stored on nooks.
Whenever you want to get away
just open a book and enjoy your day.

  9. Oh what a GREAT poem for the challenge today! That’s the kind of thing we were thinking too – the days of reading an ACTUAL book – not one on a computer or tablet. Curled up listening to a story or two – magical moments. Thanks for pawticipating in Angel Sammy’s poetry day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to SammyP and Joanie! No doubt they will have a bunch of new toys to play with AND a cake of course. Gotta have cake!

  20. Awww… Happy Birthday! I just took Tilly, who we estimate to be eighteen (!) to the vet’s office to check her thyroid today. Turns out our indoor cat has fleas! Ugh… At least the tech discovered it. Both she and Jezebel got treated. I can hardly wait until the first hard frost around here. Be well!

    1. Joanie and Sammy thank you 🙂 My Mom’s cat is indoor only and got fleas from the sliding door because neighborhood cats go out on her deck.
