Friendly Fill-Ins Week 7

Hi everyone! Time for Friendly Fill-Ins, if you don't have a blog you can put your answers in the comment section.

Here are this week's fill-ins, I came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy's Reader came up with the second two.

WEEK 7: June 24, 2016...
1. My feelings get hurt when ________________________________.
2. I am excited about ______________________________________.
3. _____ first, then _____.
4. One time, I _____, that's why _____.
My Answers:
1. My feelings get hurt when I send a friend request to someone I know on Facebook and they don't accept or when someone unfriends me- I guess I would be happier without Facebook.
2. I am excited about the Independence Day sequel coming out this weekend, although we won't go to see it until next week, it would be too crowded on a weekend. Every year, my hubby and I watch the original at some point over the 4th of July weekend.
3. Look first, then step- a good rule in this house where the chance of stepping in cat vomit is an almost daily occurrence.
4. One time,I was an extra on the TV show 30 Rock, that's why I never want to be an extra again- they are treated like dirt and work 12 hour days for peanuts. I was lucky to be visible when it aired because many times scenes get cut. Of course, if it were a Nic Cage film, I would love to be an extra for free- I will even wash the floors with a toothbrush, but only for Nic.

  1. Your blog is furry hard to read today, some glitch I think…its all black with some colors and the comment box i tiny and other trouble.

You had some great fill ins, when meowmy squinted she could read them,MOL! Hope the word press lets you fix things:)

  2. I left my link today on McGuffy’s as I can’t read your blog – some kind of format glitch I think???? Anyway, we did our fill-ins and I love the photo of Brody crocheting!

    Hugs, Sammy

    1. Sorry for the technical difficulties, and I am so stupid in that area that I couldn’t fix it. XO

  3. love your answers, but had a hard time finding anything on your blog — as those above said, and i thought at first it was just me because of my iPad, it gets quirky.

  4. As always, I love your answers! And what an adorable picture of Brody!

As others have said, it appears there is some sort of glitch affecting your blog today. I’m sure it will get sorted out, though! Purrs!

    1. Thank you- I am sorry for the technical difficulties. I hope they are fixed now.

  5. I’m so sad that it’s tough to read your blog, because I’d love to see more of those adorable pictures! That cat is lovely though.

  6. Hahaha, I love answer for #3!
Like others said, it’s very hard to read your blog today. I thought it was just my PC, but it appears to be something on your side. I hope it gets fixed!

  7. Cool bit about being an extra. Our family was asked to be extras in the movie Radio but could not go due to a prior commitment.

We found we could read the blog if we highlighted it first.

Don’t worry about those people who don’t friend you or unfriend you on Facebook. It is their loss.

    .

    1. Thank you for reading the fill-ins, I think the problem is fixed now. And you are so sweet to say that about the Facebook people, I know I shouldn’t let it bother me. That is too bad you didn’t get to be extras, it is very interesting to learn the behind the scenes stuff.

  8. Brody is adorable!

I got a laugh to your #4. My husband can’t wait for the Independence Day sequel. We don’t usually see movies the first week they come out either.

  9. Brody looks cute with the crocheting. As others have said, your post hasn’t formatted as it should and is very long and narrow.

    1. Sorry about that, I think it is better now- still not correct, but readable. XO

  10. What’s up with the comments? They’re on the sidebar in a thin line. Anyway, that’s cool that you were on 30 Rock even if you worked for squirrel food.

  11. That’s cool that you were an extra for 30 rock. We didn’t realize Nicholas Cage was such a heartthrob for you 🙂 Is it because of the movie Moonstruck? I am so infrequently on Facebook that someone could ask me to friend them and I wouldn’t know for months….
Our lame Mama didn’t get these on her blog again but here are her answers.
1.My feelings get hurt when people assume something about me that is negative and untrue and then when I show them who I actually am, they choose not to see me as I am but stick to their negative/false assumption of who they have decided I am.
2.I am excited about going on a nature canoe hike in a few weeks. I haven’t been in a canoe in years! When I lived in eastern Canada, I canoed all summer long because we were by the great lakes. There are less places to canoe here in Vancouver.
3.Look first, then cross the street! We have a lot of pedestrians here who don’t look then walk right into oncoming traffic! My pet peeve!
4.One time, I got lost when on a hike and it got dark out and I was still in the forest trying to find my way out! I had no food and I was cold and it was scary. That’s why I will only go on hikes I am familiar with and during the early part of the day!

Have a great weekend all of you. Brody looks really happy 🙂

the critters in the cottage xo

    1. I fell in love with NIc Cage before Moonstruck, it was Peggy Sue Got Married, my all time favorite movie. Thank you for your answers, I enjoyed them. I haven’t been in a canoe since my hubby and I were dating, over 25 years ago. I don’t blame you for being extra careful hiking now. Hope you have a great weekend too. XO

  12. Brody is so cute!

We don’t accept friend requests when we don’t recognize the name and we hope not to offend anyone. Wish people would send us a message telling us who they are!

These comments are smooshed into a very narrow column so something is amiss but we don’t know what.

    1. Brody thanks you. There were 2 people I met at a baby shower, I did direct message and say nice meeting you and they didn’t friend me back 🙁 I know I should get over it. I can’t figure out why my blog is messed up- sorry it looks bad.

  13. Whatever you did, the post is now legible. BTW, I only have an author account on FB, and my marketing manager oversees the account – I haven’t checked it in years.

    1. I am glad you can read the posts now, but something is still wrong. The ones that hurt my feelings were people I met at a baby shower and I made a point to direct message a note saying it was nice to meet them.

  14. I am smiling at all the long skinny comments! Sometimes blogs can be so temperamental!! It is easy for our feelings to get hurt when we feel rejected, we just have to realize that we are probably better off without the person who doesn’t want to share with us. I have to be careful where I step in my house too because usually there is a cat underfoot! I have heard from others that being an extra is hard work and not always great fun, I smiled that you would feel differently about it in “some” situations! LOL 🙂 Thank you for the great questions!

    1. I am sorry the blog is acting funny, I haven’t had time to call for help. Good point about the hurt feelings. Yes, I would do almost anything to be an extra in a Nic Cage film 🙂 I am glad you liked the questions.

  15. That’s a good rule! There is always some sort of cat excrement at my house!

Being an extra sounds fun though.

Independence day is one of my favorite films! I hope the sequel is just as good.

    : )

    : )

    1. Being an extra is fun -once 🙂 I hope the sequel is good too, I think it will be because they had 20 years to come up with a good story 🙂
