Friendly Fill-Ins Week 482

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. My answers:
1. I wish I could believe that most people are good, but I don’t. No worries, I believe all my readers are good people, but there are a lot of bad people out there that harm people and animals.
2.  I am all slimed out. Typhoid Mary decided to add water to the slime the other day and it made it extra hard to clean up.
3. I’m very picky about meat. I only eat white meat chicken and hamburger ( 85% from a certain store).
4. I don’t mind kids as long as I can return them to their parents. 🙂

  2. Cute flashback photo. I feel the same as you do with #4. I love spending time with my great nieces and nephews, but I’m worn out by the end of the day.

    Yes, sometimes even peeps we are supposed to trust go all bad on us…sadly enough.
    I bet that slime mess was awful. UGH!
    My nieces are all grown up…and my great nephew to be lives hundreds of miles from us…as do my cousins’ grandchildren.

    1. I wish I could believe that wew could stay in this house ‘forever’, but I don’t. (think it will end up being that way…)
    2. I am all tired out…from taking 3 1/2 hours to mow our lawn.
    3. I’m very picky about the foods I eat, due to some allergies and reactions.
    4. I don’t mind my dogs being goofy and all excited, running at breakneck speed along the fence, as long as they don’t knock me down, and that they don’t make too much noise when they do these things with their ‘girlfriend’ next door..
    (Benji barks incessantly sometimes, when he sees her, I think he is jealous and wants to go there.and if I am standing near the fence watching, he could easily knock me over…30 pounds at zoom speed can hit hard!)

  4. Ha ha the return of kids to parents is mama’s MO too and was during her baby-sitting days….except when they grow up and have learned that water mixed with slime may not work for everyone and know how to clean it up, haha.

    Good fill ins. We never had children, but I get on well with other people’s. I don’t think I would want them full time, and I am too old to have the patience now.

  6. Great fill-ins this week!! Thank heavens I’ve never had a “slime” incident – babysitting is not in my scope – everyone who has kid that I know including what little family I have has grown kids with their OWN kids! I like your #4….tee hee

  7. Jinx was certainly giving you the laser eyes in that photo. I’m afraid I’m like you about people, it’s a shame we feel that way but all you have to do is look around and see the bad stuff happening.

  8. I have to look up how to make slime. My granddaughters are 20 so are out of that stage. They also lived on the opposite side of the country so there were very few opportunities to do crafts. You are lucky to have your grand nieces (and nephew) so close.

  10. 1. I wish I could believe that violent things would not be the norm , but I don’t.
    2. I am all tired out too! What’s up with us all being tired out? Oh. Vintage folk! 🙂
    3. I am also very picky about what I eat and like a few…I tend toward white chicken or turkey meat and the occasional 93% burger. Out of which I will make several family faves.
    4. I don’t mind quietude. Had little enough of it with kids and with a career.

    I’m all tired out from the world hoopla.
    I’m picky about meat too, and prefer turkey and chicken to red meat.
    I don’t mind Mondays since I’m retired.

  15. Kids are great, when you are young. Now I’m a GG (GranGran), I’m glad to have them a while and give them back, also.

    We only eat white meat chicken too… SSNS does not like dark meat and won’t eat turkey at all. I am on the same page with you on #1. The whole slime thing is fascinating. But the clean up sounds challenging. Enjoyed your Fill-Ins, Ellen. I did my Fill-Ins over at Teddy’s blog—just in case 🙂 I didn’t have a way to copy and paste anywhere today.
