Friendly Fill-Ins Week 439

Hi everyone! Thank you all for the sweet anniversary wishes yesterday.

Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. My plans for Halloween include __________________________.
2. I enjoy making ____________________.
3. I look forward to _________ every Halloween season.
4. _________ is the scariest fictional character I’ve come across.
My answers:
1. My plans for Halloween include picking up the girls from school (they have a half day) and having a Halloween themed lunch with them, my mom and The Boy.
2. I enjoy making catnip toys for cats. I like to crochet, but only have the patience to make small items like cat toys.
3. I look forward to adding to my collection every Halloween season. I try to part with a few items too so my collection doesn’t get too big.
4. A vampire ( any one) is the scariest fictional character I’ve come across. I don’t watch scary movies, but my great aunt let me watch Salem’s Lot when I was a kid and I was afraid of vampires for 20 years after that.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
The flashback is from October 2016, Angel Millie was a baseball for Halloween.
Next Thursday, 9 kitties will be dressed for Halloween and we will have a giveaway for whoever can guess the most costumes.

  1. 1. My plans for Halloween include going to a church service to commemorate Reformation Day. (Martin Luther posted his theses on the church doors, which began the official start of the Reformation….though it actually had begun in a quieter way before that.)
    2. I enjoy making mementos of departed pets, even though it is a sadness, too. I used to make a lot of other pet art like that, but only do the memorial ones now due to time constraints…at least about 90% of the ‘art ‘ I do are memorials..
    3. I look forward to halloween being over… every Halloween season….since I do not care for tis ‘holiday’ at all! (No offense, I know you love it…)
4.No one is the scariest fictional character I’ve come across, because I don’t watch or read such things! (maybe some of the older ‘bad guys’ in children’s cartoons? Like Brutus in Popeye, etc.)

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I love all the memorial art you make and it is a comfort for the pets’ parents. XO

  2. Hmmm, well, pumpkins and costumes and candy were always fun when we were younger … As we got older all that became watching some scary movies, and enjoying the coming of fall … Have fun, XO

  3. HAHA that baseball costume is PRICELESS…..what a creative mind your mama has! And we are really curious about a Halloween lunch menu!!! Fried bat wings? Spider Soup? Let us know, please!

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Those are good ideas, biut we are doing mummy dogs and pumpkin shaped pasta mac and cheese. XO

  4. Angel Millie looks to have made a perfect softball. Not a hard baseball. When I was young my mother used to like to watch Twilight zone. I was way too young for that and it has terrified me all my life so I never watch any kind of Horror movie. Can’t wait to see the Halloween dress up.

  5. That was a fun outfit for Angel Millie! I used to enjoy horror movies when I was younger. I still enjoy Stephen King books though. Pennywise the clown is the scariest character in his books that I have read about. I never have liked clowns though.

  6. #1 is going to be a happy and festive outing! I enjoy your Halloween collection that you share. Angel Millie’s costume flashback is the best. So funny!!! Looking forward to NINE Meowing Crew kitties dressed up for us to guess. Failed miserably with Rudy and the lamp shade but it was fun!
    My Fill-Ins~>
    1. My plans for Halloween include going out to dinner.
    2. I enjoy making my way toward Thanksgiving. Going to take it slow and enjoy every second.
    3. I look forward to 15 and Meowing’s posts every Halloween season. I don’t really celebrate Halloween but I get a kick out of tocks, costumed Meowing kitties, Halloween decor and Halloween related posts from the Meowing Crew!
    4. The flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz were the scariest fictional characters I’ve come across. They scared me to death and left a lasting impression on me as a young kid. I had dreams about them for a long time.
    Happy Weekend, Meowing Crew!

    1. Thank you. 🙂 And thank you for these great answers, especially #3, you are too kind. Yes, those monkeys are creepy. XO

  7. That is an adorable pic of Angel Millie. I’m not too fond of scary movies of any type. I wish Halloween would last all year! 🎃

  8. 1. My plans for Halloween include _making homemade caramels and caramel corn, not trick or treaters, but for us_.
    2. I enjoy making _homemade goodies for the holidays_.
    3. I look forward to _watching fun not too spooky movies and munching on some of our favorite treats_ every Halloween season.
    4. _Vampires that looks scary and nasty_ is the scariest fictional character I’ve come across.

I’m sorry for not visiting before now. Life keeps me busy. Have a good weekend, dear Ellen!

  9. Angel Millie is slaying that baseball look, even Angel Snowie is jealous! MOL Epic fill-ins as always, and don’t miss Tuesday’s post because we’ve got a brand crafting post for a really cute catnip toy. Amber and Pandora say many thanks for the birthday wishes, and we’ve got your email too!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  10. Not sure what kind of Halloween stuff you’re looking for, but we found some cute stuff at Target. We were shopping for decorations for my grandsons’ trunk or treat.

  11. 1. My plans for Halloween include hiding. We want the quiet and not the doorbell ringing all evening long.
    2. I enjoy making pots of soup this time of year.
    3. I look forward to moving on from Halloween every Halloween season.
    4. Freddy Krueger is the scariest fictional character I’ve come across.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I like soup this time of year too. We never get trick or treaters which I guess is good because all the doorbell ringing would bother the cats. XO

  12. I would be afraid of vampires, too, if I’d gotten to watch stuff like that as a kid.

Angel Millie was the cutest baseball ever. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!

  13. thank you so much for sharing! Visiting the shelter is not for the weak, last time I went I brought home a 14 week old puppy. He’s 3 now and he’s my best friend I’m so glad I got him. I want to participate in the friendly fill ins! 1. My plans for Halloween include _visiting the grand kids and visiting engineering firms Salt Lake City, UT to start a fun project. 2. I enjoy making _homemade bread_. 3. I look forward to _reeces pumpkins every Halloween season. 4. _Ianthe from the ACOTAR_ is the scariest fictional character I’ve come across. Have a great day. Hugs!

  14. Charlee: “We like your answers! Our Dada says the scariest fictional characters he’s come across are the Slake-Moths from ‘Perdido Street Station’, whoever they are and whatever that is.”
    Oona: “Moths? Oona likes moths.”
Charlee: “Yes well apparently you would not like THESE moths.”

  15. Oh golly, MeezersMews answers could have been mine! There would be quite a similarity.
    1. My plans for Halloween include just the day-to-day normal things. I am not a big fan- and my kids are all grown.
    2. I enjoy making special treats for Thanksgiving and Christmas for the family. My chocolate peppermint layer cake is an asked-for fave at Christmas time. Last Christmas I made a huge heap of chocolate chip cookies as a change.
    3. I look forward to the brouhaha being over with the Halloween season.
    4. Vampires are the scariest fictional characters I have come across too. Looks like they made an indelible impression on many of us little girls.

    1. Thank you for all these great answers, but I am sorry you are not a fan of Halloween. That cake sounds amazing. XO
