Friendly Fill-Ins Week 193

Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link ( see below) to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. My favorite quote is ______________________..

2. My favorite part of February is ____________________.

3. A little known fact about me is _________.
4. _________ is the most rewarding experience in the world.
My answers:
1. My favorite quote is ” When a man loves cats, I am his friend and comrade, without further introduction.” Mark Twain
2. My favorite part of February is Valentine’s Day. The perfect time to let loved ones know how loved they are- of course, it is good to let them know more often than once a year.
3. A little known fact about me is I was a crazy bunny lady before I became a crazy cat lady. I still love bunnies, but I was definitely meant to be a cat lady.
4. Giving a cat a forever home is the most rewarding experience in the world.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

Here are some flashback photos from January 2015:
Angel Lucy made an indoor snowman.
My hubby and I made a snow cat.

  1. What a fun snow cat!!

    1. My favorite quote is : I don’t think I actually have one, MOL!

    2. My favorite part of February is also Valentines; Day, That is Pipo’s Gotcha Day…and it was also Minko’s..
    3. A little known fact about me is I used to crochet ‘original;’ baby blankets, (no printed patterns), and made many, including for my own sons..
    4. Helping elderly peeps feel good and comfortable in the nursing home is the most rewarding experience in the world. Making them laugh is too:)

    1. Thank you 🙂 And thanks for these great answers. Pipo’s and Angel Minko’s Gotcha day is even better than Valentine’s Day. I did not know you made so many baby blankets, that is sweet. The elderly are lucky to have you helping them. XO

  2. That snowcat is FABULOUS!!!! Love your filling in and Mom says she agrees that Valentine’s Day is the BESTEST day in the month of February. Happy Friday and thanks for being a co-host for fillling in – it’s always tons of fun.

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. Our first family pet was a rabbit. My father raised them as a child so we all assumed he knew how best to care for a rabbit … but he DID NOT. I still feel bad for Black Spot – I truly hope his life wasn’t as miserable as I suspect it was.

  4. Love all your fill-ins. I didn’t know about you being a bunny lady before a cat lady. I love bunnies too.

Love the kitties and love the snowcat you and hubby made.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. ♥

  5. Your snow cat is so cute! I agree that the most rewarding thing to do is give a cat a forever home.

  6. Mark Twain was a really wise man 🙂
I started with other pets before I became a cat mom myself, but like you I always was a cat lady at heart!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  7. Fun fact that you were a crazy bunny lady and I totally agree with your answer #4!
Love your snow kitty 🙂 Have a happy weekend! xo

  8. guyz….mom N dad did a grate job on snow cat !!! total lee kewl…we thinked for sure mom wooda said a chance ta meet mr.cage for number 4 🙂 😉 ♥♥

  9. Thanks for sharing your wonderful friendly fill-in answers. We use to have plenty of bunnies when we were younger but now it’s just cats at our household. Love the snow cat that you made. Have a fun upcoming weekend.

  10. I cannot recall if this came up before; did you know President Lincoln was a huge cat fan? There are faked photos, but he reportedly did adore the creatures. And bunnies are precious, too. The visiting rehab worker my mother and I both adored back in the day raised a rabbit much as a feline. Be well, my dear. ~hugs~ I hope your heart is healing.

    1. I did know about President Lincoln 🙂 Rabbits can be trained to use a litter box, but I never had luck with that. Thank you. It will be a long time before my heart is healed. XO

  11. As always, your fill-ins are fantastic! I love the quote you picked for #1, and it’s such a true statement as well. When I know someone likes cats, I feel like they must surely be trustworthy. And I’ve always been fascinated by bunnies, though I’ve never had one. I know their diet and overall care can be a tad bit picky, and so I’d be worried I would do something wrong in caring for them. And I 1000% agree on #4! Oh, and I love the flashback photos you shared. Your Lucy did a purrfect job on her snowman, and you and your husband did a purrfect job on that snowkitty. You know, as much as I enjoy drawing snowkitties in my sketchbook, I’ve actually never built one myself. I should remedy that. Purrs!
