Friendly Fill-Ins Week 140

Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate.

1. ____________________ and ______________ go hand in hand.

2. _____________________ makes my heart happy.

3. Don’t be afraid to _________.
4. If _________ was a sport, I would win hands down.
My answers:
1. Coffee and books go hand in hand.
2. Snuggling with my kitties makes my heart happy. And so do hugs from The Great One.
3. Don’t be afraid to stand up for what you feel is right.
4. If stain removal was a sport, I would win hands down. Just the other day, I managed to get marker off some wood items The Great One had colored ” on accident”. Toothpaste works wonders.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.
Joanie and I thank you for all the purrs and prayers. Her teeth were good, no extractions. It takes a while for the pathology report to come back on the bumps. I only had the larger one (1st photo) sent out because it cost $200 for that which brought the bills to $877, including the senior discount we get through my hubby.
The one in the front was smaller. As you can see, Joanie is still a little drugged in the photo.
And Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head are a little out of sorts today too.

  1. Thanks for the fill-ins. 🙂 Your answers are great, most especially #2 and #3. Hugs from the little ones are extra special. I’d rather be unpopular and doing right than be popular and doing wrong. Of course, I’m not going to be popular either way. haha

    I am glad that Joanie has Gremie to help her through these difficult moments. I’m sorry that she has the lumps. I am praying for her to be healthy very soon. {{{Hugs}}}

    Have a blessed weekend!

    1. Thank you. Yes, a random hug from a little one is so sweet. I hope you have a blessed weekend too. XO

  2. Happy that Joanie had no extractions and had her bumps removed. Hope the path report is negative…..I bet she was happy to be home again! Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head do look a bit “scattered”. We’re fans of your #2 and #3 answers too AND thanks for the toothpaste hint.

    Hugs, Teddy and Mom too

  3. Hugs and snuggles are some of the best things there are.

So sorry the bill was that high for Joanie, i hope the path report comes back clean.

  4. Your answers are great and thanks for the toothpaste tip!

Sending purrs and healing hugs to Joanie

    Purrs xx
    Athena and Marie

  5. I knew what you’d say about #2. We all know how much you love your kitties.

I’m glad Joanie did well and is back home. A happy day.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Thank you for co-hosting Friendly Fill-ins.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend all you kitties. My best to your mom. ♥

  6. I would never have thought of toothpaste for markers! If you ever have time, perhaps you should write a book on how to clean various things.

  7. Pull yourselves together, Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head! Oh, Joanie! You are too cute, and we all hope that your lumps turn out to be nothing to worry about. And good job on the stain removal!

  8. joanie…..we hope de nooze comez bak aye oh kay soooper grate N yur on de roadz oh happee N healthee fora looooooooooooong while yet….st francis’ blessingz two ewe ♥♥♥♥♥

  9. Good for you, Ellen; I like people who take their pets to their vet for maintenance of good health, and for the “little things” that sound alarms or simply become obvious, and, of course, for the big things either sudden or chronic.

  10. Hopefully Joanie has recovered completely by now.
Snuggling with cats is the best way to spend time, but books and coffee are fine with me as well.
    Have a wonderful week!

    1. Thank you 🙂 I can get vomit off the wood floor, but if I don’t get it soon enough then it eats through the finish. 🙁

  11. $800+!! Yikes! That’s a big chunk of change. Glad she is back home okay. Hopefully Mr. and Mrs Potato Head can get themselves together again soon. BTW, I went and voted for Prancie’s Prayer today. All the best to you in the contest!

  12. Great answers! I’m with you on #1-3, but I’m terrible at stain removal. No matter what I use or how hard I try, there are alot I can’t get out.
Hope you have a great weekend!

  13. Poor Joanie, being drugged. I had that look for a few days when I was given an injection of pain medication – it was awful. Hopefully the biopsy results come back with good news. Purrs.

  14. Sweet Joanie. I’m sorry about those lumps. I hope it’s benign. That is very expensive! It’s amazing to me how expensive vetinerary care is. I would think I’d be used to it by now. I like your #1, but I would say tea and books and/or cat and books.

  15. Joanie, The only good thing about the v-e-t are the fun drugs! It must be what the Humans feel like after a “cocktail” whatever that is. We hope you are feeling much better today! XOXO

  16. Joanie,

Sorry about those lumps. Hope all is well for you. Good thing you have Gremmie to help you through it. I don’t know that any of these cats have any one favorite toy. They do love the bow ties. The purple and the blue and white ones seem to be the favorites.

Drac likes to get them in his mouth and throw them up in the air and try to catch them. Is there anything in them?

  17. As we’re in the middle of another snowstorm….coffee and a book is sounding very good right now! (I’m actually doing coffee and computer though…LOL)

  18. Fantastic fill-ins, as always! I don’t think anything makes me happier than cuddling my furbabies. And I am most definitely going to keep the power of toothpaste stain removal on my list of things to remember. Purrs and prayers to Joanie! And to Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head!

  19. I am behind and running late, too. So I will just say that I love your fill ins this week!

Glad that Joanie came thrugh fine, now we have to purr and send POTP that the biopsy is going to have a good report too.

That sure was a lot of moolah you had to fork over, wow! We sure sometimes get ouchies in our pockets for our furbabies, don’t we…
