This is great for cats that eat too fast or need to lose weight. I had hoped to use it to help KaTwo lose some weight, but she won’t eat any food off the floor. She will only eat food out of her dish.
I decided to have Joanie try it because she tends to inhale her food down ( and then yack it back up). As you can see by this short video, she enjoyed it.
It is larger than the treat dispensers because it is meant to hold their entire meal. I like that the kitty can “hunt” for their food too. It is also dishwasher safe.

I tried one puzzle feeder and Bear wanted nothing to do with it. That surprised me because of how food motivated he is. Ellie, on the other hand, went to town 🙂

I had something like this, but smaller for just treats. One of these days I’m sure to find the halves somewhere under a couch or something. ~grin~ This morning I found a pile of undigested kibble but couldn’t get mad because there was a hairball in the mess. ~sigh~ Be well!
We have one of those too. Can’t get mad when there is a hairball. 🙂
This would be great for several of ours, but not Mikey, the biggest. He’s also the laziest. He lies down to pull food out of the bowl with his paw instead of standing or sitting up to eat!

I have a different one of those kitty food dispensers…and I never give it the time of day, MOL! Dalton would like it, but it rather too small for him, and he could even perhaps chew it apart…he is a big chewer. He chewed his unspillable water bowl and made a big lake on the floor and his bed…what a mess. So now there is a newer unspillable travel bowl in there…he is crazy!
Maybe he needs a stainless bowl. And the food puzzle is available in a bigger size for dogs 🙂 XO

That looks like a fun way to have a meal or even a snack. We can’t make Sam work for her meals though, since getting her to eat is more important. But I’ve had some chubby cats in the past that could have really used it!
It is good for cats that need to eat slower or lose weight.
