Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww…Mondays, McGuffy’s Reader’s Sparks and Mewsic Moves Me ( hosted by Curious as a Cathy, Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked.)

The theme for Mewsic Moves Me is Earth. My first choice is also my spark.

3. Earth Angel ( played in the film, Back to The Future)- not about the earth, but has the word in it.

And for the A-Z Blogging Challenge, we are already at the letter T. I made a slice of toast, but there was no place to stuff it with nip so I rubbed silvervine on it , like cinnamon toast 🙂

Joanie broke the modeling rule and started playing with it.

I am skipping the reading hop today because I haven’t had much time to read lately.

Hi everyone! Nurse Joanie here, Mom is sick, just a cold, but she is a big baby. I iz taking care of here.

My answers:
1. New slippers are the best. I wear out slippers quickly and was deciding when to break out a new pair. Joanie helped me with that by yacking in the old ones.
2. I love to read on the bed in the spare bedroom with KaTwo.
3. When I was a child, I loved to play with stuffed animals. I never liked dolls, I would hide them in the pantry or give them to the dog. Maybe my mother should have had me tested like Sheldon 🙂
4. One day, I hope to find a publisher for a picture book I wrote, actually I have two written.

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

  I am thankful that I only had to pose for one photo with this crocheted Q-tip for The A-Z Challenge.Also thankful that Mom didn’t try to stick it in my ear. We are impressed that some of you guessed that she was making a Q-tip. Good job Caren and Cody and Laila and Minchie

Some need to jump from a plane to feel alive

Hi everyone! We have a Chewy review today and we are joining the Chewy Blog Hop hosted by Sugar Golden Woofs.

*We received the PetSafe FroliCat Flik Interactive Teaser Pet Toy for free in exchange for a fair review.

Joanie had first dibs on playing with the PetSafe FroliCat Flik Interactive Teaser Pet Toy.

It has a string that spins around randomly, it shuts off automatically after 15 minutes or you can turn it off yourself.  Joanie went right for it.

Sammy did tooMillie and Penny had some fun

I think Jinx had the most fun, he even had the string in his mouth and pulled the toy, but I wasn’t quick enough to get a photo. The only cat not thrilled with it was Prancie, she gave it a quick sniff and went on to work on tearing some paper ( her hobby). I would say 11 out of 12 is a hit.

If you have a cat that likes to chew things, I would be sure to hide the toy when you are not there to supervise so kitty doesn’t eat the string.

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww…Mondays, McGuffy’s Reader’s Sparks and Mewsic Moves Me ( hosted by Curious as a Cathy, Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked.) Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading? And it is day 14 of the  A-Z Blogging Challenge.

  Joanie is modeling my N creation, a necktie. I had made a nectarine, but it was basically a small orange ball so I decided to make this instead.

My Spark for today is a quote I found on Pinterest, but it did not list the author. ” We are stars wrapped in skin-the light you are seeking has always been within. ” So lets all shine 🙂

Today’s Mewsic Moves Me is our choice for a theme so I chose songs with the word Star in the title.

I am reading a sad memoir by Joyce Maynard titled The Best of Us: A Memoir. She is a famous author who was single for many years after divorcing her first husband. She finally meets and marries her true soul mate, but their time is cut short when he is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It is very sad, but reading about the start of their relationship has reminded me of my own and how much I love my husband. Please don’t misunderstand me, I always love him, but sometimes life gets in the way and it is easy to take someone for granted. This is a great reminder to not do that.

 

 

Ten Things of Thankful

Hi everyone! We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and Ten Things of Thankful. And Rascal and Rocco’s Pet Parade.

My art ties in with The A-Z Blogging Challenge actually my crocheted Minion is my art because I am too lazy to edit the photo.

Much better than yesterday’s lemon. I am quite proud of this one.

KaTwo is posing with it. My poor cats have to pose with everything, but they don’t get to play with these items because I am giving them all away in a big giveaway at the end of the month.

Here are my thankfuls- all book related this week.

  1. Went to my first book sale of the year with a friend.
  2. Found some books I didn’t even know existed.
  3. Going back to the book sale today for half price day- 50 cents for paperbacks and $1 for hardcover.
  4. Bookstores- I went to Barnes and Noble this week and made a list of 12 books to get from the library.
  5. The library and being able to get books from any library in the region delivered right to town.
  6. My friends Suzanne and Dave sent me some books for The Great One and for me too.
  7. Kindle- I prefer real books, but I get some good freebies on there.
  8. My kitties like to hang out with me when I read.

1. Spending time with cats keeps me happy and calm.
2.Soaking pans in dishwasher liquid or powder with water ( not dish liquid) is the secret to removing grease and burnt on food. ( Sorry, I don’t know the secret to life).

4. Right now, I am thankful that Emmy is on my lap ( which is pretty much anytime I sit down now ).

I am thankful for mom’s lap.

I think mom cheated because she made the same thing last year and called it a yarmulke ( click here) and now she is calling it a kippa.

Lots of fresh veggies and fruit
even beans that make you toot
