Butterfly Cat Scratcher

Hi everyone! Today I want to tell you about a great product from a company that has been in business since 1986.

* Disclaimer: We received a butterfly design corrugated scratcher from Cat Claws, Inc. in exchange for a fair review.

Cat Claws, Inc. was started by Bill and Gale Seliskar. Bill worked for a corrugated box company in 1986 and realized their cats were always scratching the samples he brought home ( in addition to their couch). Once they made these and added catnip, the cats preferred them to the couch and the business was started.

In 2006, they added Scratch ‘n Shapes to their product line. These led to the start of their retail brand, Imperial Cat in 2007.When Bill passed away on 2009 and his wife in 2010, their 2 daughters took over and the company continues to thrive by offering smart solutions for devoted cat owners. The company is based in Morrilton, Arkansas and makes many products right in the USA.

This butterfly is their newest design. And Sammy definitely approves.

It sells for $24.95 and comes with a big bag of catnip to sprinkle on for more fun. Sammy is 19 pounds, possibly 20 and it was plenty big enough for him. Joanie and Phoebe have enjoyed it too but Sammy is the scratcher king of this house.

  1. This looks like such a purrfect scratcher. Not only are the kitties around here scratching fiends, but this here human also loves finding cute scratchers to bring home, like this one! Thank you for sharing this with us!

  2. That looks like a GREAT scratcher. Strangely (!) neither Sammy nor Teddy are interested in scratchers but I wish Teddy WOULD use one. He prefers the rugs!

    Hugs, Pam
