The Big Fork and Spoon

What are these for Phoebe?

Mom and Dad are having a giant over for dinner, maybe he will eat you Joanie.

I am going to go hide.

She is so gullible. These were in the kitchen of Mom’s childhood home and she kept them when the house was sold in 2003. She is thinking about painting them and putting them in our kitchen- I say she should just put them away and leave the 1970’s in the past with the avocado colored appliances.

I got my cup all set for Cinco de Mayo. It says ” Tips appreciated. We do not accept coins.”

Grammie came to see me today and gave me my $5 for Cinco de Mayo. It was morning though and I don’t dance in the morning, but she still paid me. I love her so very much and I would even if she didn’t give me treats and cash.

Don’t forget to comment on yesterday’s post for a chance to win the A-Z crocheted items which will be split among 2 winners which I will announce on Thursday.

I am off to work on my U poem- any ideas for that?

    1. I hope so too and Joanie came out when she heard the treats being opened. πŸ™‚ XO

  2. You could write one about the need for umbrellas it is so rainy here today…
Or that we take umbrage at all the rain and no sun.

Phoebe you are a bold kitty,MOL!!!
Teasing your sisfur about giants, and then that sign on your pole dancing cup…um…um…nevfurmind!

  3. Yes that fork and spoon is very 1970s and you’re so right about avocado green bathroom suites!!! I think in your house if a a giant is coming U could be for UTTER mayhem, if this helps at all with your poem?

  4. I forgot that Cinco de Mayo was coming up! I don’t know what to do for it, since I’ve already worn the sombrero.

  5. Those are huge ! Just think how much foods you could dish out with them πŸ˜‰ MOL!
We look forward to seeing your Cinco de Mayo post.

  6. Ready for Cinco huh? I hope you get to do a lot of pole dances and make a ton of money. As for “U” – we’re still trying to figure that one out too – I bet Angel Sammy has something already prepared!

    Hugs, Teddy

  7. I have those exact giant fork and spoon hanging in my kitchen! I actually got them from a local Humane Society garage sale just last year. They may look perfectly retro, but I had to have them the second I saw them. Indeed, I hung them in my kitchen that very day. And we’re looking forward to Cinco de Mayo, too! We’re not pro pole dancers like you, though, Phoebe, so we’ll leave that talent to you. Purrs!

    1. That is so cool that you have these too! We love Cinco de Mayo πŸ™‚

  8. How about a poem about being under a beach umbrella, listening to the surf? Whatever you decide, i’m sure i will enjoy your poem.

  9. That was a pretty mean thing you did to Joanie. Just saying. I have to admit I laughed.

I know you love your Grammie even if she doesn’t bring you anything but herself. That’s a good thing.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your wonderful mom. ☺

  10. My Mom had a fork and spoon like that in her kitchen for years and I have to say I wish I still had them and I would do what your Mom is thinking of doing… I would paint them and hang them right up on the wall! It would be great fun!
So nice of Grammie to kick off your Cinco de Mayo celebrations but I just knew she would! Grammie is a good kind lady.
No ideas for the U poem but it’s early… I might come up with something after breakfast! U… hmmm. I have it… don’t UNDERESTIMATE the powers of kitties! Oooo that would be tough to do… I will keep thinking.

  11. Your Grammie is very nice to give you a tip–are you going to buy treats with the money?

  12. How about ‘undercarriage’? LOL! That’s what I call it, when I get to pet a cat’s belly, while they are standing on all four feet.

  13. Oh, Phoebe! That wasn’t nice to scare Joanie like that! We had to crack up at that picture of you in front of the tip cup … you truly are one of a kind and your spunk makes us love you all the more.

  14. Oh, Phoebe, you are so funny. Poor Joanie.

I like your tips cup. Good idea on “we don’t accept coins”!

    1. Joanie is an airhead, she forgot all about it when Mom had the treat bag out πŸ™‚ You don’t have to send me anything, just your love. We are praying that your Mum feels better. XO

  17. Our Mama remembers avocado appliances and agrees..they should never resurface! But those spoons are fun and we bet they hold a few childhood memories πŸ™‚
