Awww…Monday

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Monday.

Joanie and Gremmie are posing with the books I am currently reading. Despite the crude titles, they are both very informative.

STFU: The Power of Keeping Your Mouth Shut in an Endlessly Noisy World by Dan Lyons is filled with tips to help one stop talking so much. I am not big on talking and even in my posts and comments I try to keep things brief, so I am all for less noise. 🙂

and Tidy the F*ck Up : The American Art of Organizing Your Sh*t  by Messie Condo is a parody of Marie Kondo’s book, but it had a lot of great ideas and tips on decluttering.

Penny is planning to be here tomorrow.

  1. Ha ha we are in hysterics over these titles! Mama loves the ‘mouth shut’ one and is practicing, haha, but your de-cluttering A to Z helped all of us so much. I think mama is using the Greek alphabet, haha…..still a few cartons to fill with…er…what is that thing anyway, mama?

  2. Sweet Joanie looks so comfortable with your books. I’m not one for talking a lot, but then I don’t have a lot of people around to talk to. But now my husband, is a whole different story and I’m the only one here to listen, lol.

  3. I will talk to anyone. 🙂 There are meow’s going on too…by my house mate.

  4. I am not one for saying much either. Ivor makes up for me and takes after his mother. He can talk the hind leg off a donkey. His brother is the same, and if he comes out he talks the other hind leg off. I go somewhere quiet and leave them to it while I read a book.

  5. I love those titles. You made me laugh out loud and awww on the kitties.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. XO ♥

  6. Chaplin: “Our Dada says that book about tidying the f*ck up sounds like it might make a good companion to a book about going the f*ck to sleep.”
Charlee: “Nobody has to tell us to go the f*ck to sleep. We sleep all the time.”
Chaplin: “Maybe we need a book about waking the f*ck up?”
Charlee: “No, I am not into horror novels.”

  7. I like those book titles. The first one reminds me of a Bible verse. In the New Living Translation, Proverbs 10:19 reads, “Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.”

Thank you, Joanie and Gremmie for posing so nicely, and Penny, i’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

  8. I am a talker! My brother ed says I jump from one story to the next. But we talk about once a month so I have lots to say to him! Not a fan of Marie Kondo Iso I would probably love that book. ha!

  9. My previous comment disappeared into the vortex! I love talking cause I am with cats and dogs all day. I even talk to them. HaHa – never was a fan of Marie Kondo. I would probably love this book you read on decluttering. Love reading. But lately I have been playing Barbie’s. I have lots of bridal clothes and love dressing them up with their Ken and Alan guys. Always love your photos. Have a terrific week.

    1. I love playing Barbies or with Elsa and Anna dolls. 🙂 Hope you have a great week too. XO

  11. Fun and interesting book titles! It is indeed a noisy world. Sometimes we say more by talking less. xo

  12. I’m a talker but I know when not to be. That being said, I know some who can greatly benefit from the first book. 🙂 Have a boogietastic week, Ellen! 😉
