Awww….Mondays

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays .

Dusty is posing with one of the books I am currently reading. Sigrid Rides: The Story of an Extraordinary Friendship and An Adventure on Two Wheels by Travis Nelson is a great story about a cat improving a man’s life and giving him a reason to get up every day. The author, his wife and their 2 cats moved to England for his job in 2019 then the pandemic hit and his company let him go leaving him in a deep depression. Once he starts taking his cat, Sigrid for bike rides his mood lifts. He starts recording them and putting them on Instagram and Tik Tok to spread joy.

I have about 40 pages left to read, but so far, it is uplifting and not sad. I love cats and books, but a lot of times, I don’t like to read books about cats because they tend to have sad parts. I am glad I decided to give this one a try.

And today is X Day for The A-Z Blogging Challenge.  In case you are visiting for the first time, my theme is Halloween.

X is a tough one. This is what you see on an x-ray.

Rosie will be here tomorrow with all the latest.

  1. That sounds like a good book. A man from Scotland travelled all over the world on his cycle and one day found a tiny lost kitten. He put a basket on the front of his bike and she travelled everywhere with him. Later he got a small old RV and they travelled in that one. He used to post regularly on You Tube, but when his gran died he stayed home with his mum. He has a lot of videos on You Tube under the name: One bike one world. He sometimes puts shorts on Facebook under the same name.
That was a good idea for X for Halloween.

  2. That skeleton! Mom here got to smiling. My human brother had a full-sized one hanging in the classroom he taught in several years ago. His name was Charlie. Even though my son and Charlie live in Charlotte NC, Charlie was always sporting University of Tennessee Volunteers (sports) orange. He usually had his VOLS ball cap on, and an orange scarf around his neck but he duded up nicely other times.

  3. I don’t like to read or watch a movie where an animal dies. The only except was for Marley and Me because the story is so heart warming and the dog dies a natural death. It took me a while to watch Seabiscuit.

  4. Dusty is a cutie pie and that book sounds like a great read. Our babies can give us reason to get up every morning. Beautiful.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Ellen. A hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥

  5. That sounds like a good book, especially if it’s not sad parts in it. I avoid animal stories too because of that. I like how you did the letter X haha! 🙂

  6. It does sound like a good book. I definitely won’t read a book if I know something bad happens to an animal. I love my cozy mysteries because the cats are usually the star of the story and I know nothing bad will happen to them 🙂

  7. That sounds like a very endearing read. And you have done so well with your A-Z challenge. The skeleton works very well for X.

  8. Dusty poses so nicely. The book sounds great, too.

I agree, X is hard and this year I kind of had to cheat.

  9. I’m glad this book is an uplifting read. I don’t like sad stories, period. The letter X is a hard one but you did a good job. 🙂

  10. Glad you found an upbeat and positive book with a cat. Great review and great job on the challenge. I had to chuckle seeing your skellie.
