Awww….Monday

Hi everyone. We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays .

I know this isn’t awww…worthy, but I finally finished my 4th of July wreath, 9 days late.

Typhoid Mary expressed interest in my rag wreaths so I got a set online to make 3 wreaths for the 4th. I figured the girls would each make one and I could too. Well, TM told me she wanted me to make her a rag wreath, she didn’t want to make one. The girls had no interest in the project which turned out to be a good thing because there would not have been enough ribbon for 3 wreaths. I even added some of my own ribbon and yarn to what the kit had.

And the reason it took so long was because of this guy:

He looks so innocent, but he gets into everything and he kept trying to eat the ribbons.

Rosie will be here tomorrow with all the latest from our house.

  1. That’s a nice festive wreath for the 4th! Lol kitties can certainly keep us from getting things done at times! XO

  2. It’s an awesome wreath … and anyway … we (at least cats can!) celebrate being INDEPENDENT on
    any day and every day!

  3. That’s a beautiful wreath, and you are so creative, Ellen. When we are working on a project, Callie is in the middle of it trying to help.

  4. I’m not buying that it wasn’t me, I was sleeping act. Despite looking innocent, he’s a cat so you know he can’t resist ribbon or string. Good picture!

  5. I love your 4th of July wreath. Beautiful.

Squeaker is our into everything kitty. We get it.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to mom. ♥

  6. The wreath is beautiful. Yes, cats and ribbons can delay any project.

  7. He does look adorably innocent. He is such a little stinker♥
Your wreath came out beautiful. If Rusty hadn’t been so helpful maybe it could have been up for the 4th. But you can leave it up now… it is still a festive time.

  8. I think your wreath is lovely. The 4-legged ‘helper’ really does look innocent. Sorry the girls were less than enthusiastic. It’s hard to anticipate what kids will enjoy. I have the same problem whenever my great granddaughter visits. It seems like I always guess wrong. We still have fun, but…just once I’d like to get it right.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 That happens here too, but sometimes I find something they want to do like make slime. XO

  9. I like the rag ribbon wreath! Sounds like it was a fun project, even if the girls were not all that into it. Ahh ribbons … we had one cat Weena who was always trying to chew/eat on ribbons. Had to keep them far away from her. 🙂

    1. Thank you. 🙂 It worked out being that we wouldn’t have had enough ribbon. XO

  10. It’s disappointing, to say the least, when a kit lacks enough material. Grrr… I’m amazed that my little imps don’t get into more trouble. I have yarn out for a project and they prefer my approved playthings. lol Be well, my dear.

  11. Pretty wreath. He does look innocent. I remember trying to crochet with a cat. I spent more time trying to keep the yarn out of his reach than working on my project.
