Awww….Monday

Hi everyone. We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays .

Poor Rusty. I found a way to keep him from breaking into Grammie’s room. It is a full length of the doorway gate so during the night, Rusty, Rudy. Tuffy and Brody won’t be able to get to the hallway to pester Grammie for treats.  They are a big fall risk for an elderly woman. Grammie is having an extended stay with us. She was ready to move back to her place, but there was a big water pipe leak. Nothing of hers was damaged, but 2 ceilings and floors were and need to be replaced so we had to move almost all of her stuff out so repairs can be made.

Rosie will be here with all the latest tomorrow including a full report on Brody’s cardiologist visit.

  1. That does look like an effective barrier! Kitties can get a bit rambunctious for some situations, and their activities have to be somewhat re-routed and re-directed. XO

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Sounds like you could use one to keep the cats that don’t get along apart. XO

  2. Didn’t realize those “gates” would be effective for kitty cats (always good for puppers) … great idea, hope things are improved for Grammie’s home soon.

  3. OH, your poor Grammie! And what a great solution so that she can get some SLEEP. Hope the floors and all get fixed soon and the leak, stopped!

    1. Yes, and we can sleep too because I always had to get up to get him out of her room. XO

  4. Hm. I used to need one f those. I’ll have to look them up. Don’t need it now; but I might be able to help a shift worker by telling them bout it one day.

  5. Well what a personal disaster for your mother. And to be able to keep her with you and not trip over little sweet fur balls running around, is a good idea. Will be looking for Brody’s update. Precious is anxious.

    1. At least nothing got ruined and she was forced to go through things she has procrastinated on. Brody sends his love to Precious. XO

  6. Oh so hope Grammie’s place will be repaired quickly ~ meantime the gate seems to be working ~ be well ~ thanks,

  7. You have to do what needs doing to keep Granny safe. Well done. Hope the repairs get done soon.

    Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

    Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to Ellen. ♥

  8. Rusty certainly doesn’t look happy. Oh well…the barrier is just for a short time. The important thing is Grammie right now.

  9. Good Job Ellen all of us who have been owned by cats know they are 100% unpredictable and can change directions in a heart beat.
    Very thankful Mom’s belongings are safe
    hugs Cecilia

  10. Hope the repairs are done quickly and done well. Rusty just loves his Grammie. Those gates are awesome when you need them. And Grammie needs to not fall. It will be good to get an update on Brody’s heart♥
    Hugs to you, Ellen!

  11. When it’s necessary, it’s necessary. I pray all the reconstruction goes smoothly.

  12. Rusty, Rudy. Tuffy and Brody don’t take it purrsonally about beein enclosed. Wee don;t want anythin to happen to Grammie. Mee nose this ’cause mee triess to trip BellaSita ALOT! 😉
    ~~~head rubss~~~BellaDharma~~~ an ((hugss)) BellaSita Mum
  13. Chaplin: “Rusty! You look like a jailbird. You even have the orange jumpsuit!”
    Charlee: “We would all be in jail too if begging for treats were a crime here. Well, all of us except for Oona, anyway. She is weirdly unmotivated by food.”
    Oona: “Oona eats when Oona is hungry and doesn’t eat when she is not hungry. She takes after her Dada in that way.”
    Charlee: “We hope Grammie’s place gets fixed back up soon. It’s super lucky none of her things were damaged in the leak!”
  14. Awesome!!! You have to keep Grammie safe and the treats can come later:)
