Thankful Thursday

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Look what my Grammie got me* for Halloween! I have the bestest Grammie in the world. I am thankful for my Grammie and for treats.

Now if someone would just open them for me .

And here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day to go with this photo.

Peace and quiet
no sounds from a riot.
No radio or tv
not even a buzzing bee.
No honking from cars,
must be like Mars.
Not even the sound of a bike
I wonder what that is like?
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. Peace and quiet, at least sometimes, would be wonderful, wouldn’t it? That is a nice poem.
How blessed you are to have such a sweet Grammie and treats, and a wonderful family all around. 🙂
    Have a blessed weekend!

  2. Super poem this week! It was an interesting photo but the overall sense of things was PEACE AND QUIET wasn’t it!! Looks like you kitties hit the jackpot in the treat department……now if some kind human would just OPEN IT UP!

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. Grammies are indeed something to be thankful for.

  5. Your Grammie is the best of the best, Joanie! The kitties around here love them some Party Mix, too. They got lots of those as their Halloween treats. And your poem is fantastic! It really makes you think what it would be like to stand somewhere with complete peace and quiet, with nothing but nature around you. We can’t wait to see your fill-ins tomorrow!

  6. Your Grammie is wonderful, i hope you are planning to share. That many treats would make you sick.

The only thing you might hear there would be the wind. Oh, to have some of that quiet for an hour or two!

  7. What a huge container of Party Mix! We haven’t seen a container that big.

Your poem was super. It sure matched what’s happening in the picture.

    Loves,

    Shoko

  8. What a wonderful poem. Our mom really likes silence and when our Dad is home she rarely gets it. He’s been away for a few days and she is loving the silence, especially the lack of TV with the constant campaign ads.
