Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Mom is thankful to all who donated to Button’s surgery. Also to those who shared, purred and prayed. We will keep you updated on his progress.
Mom is also thankful that her talking Sheldon still works. Do you remember him? Phoebe wrote about him here.
The Great One likes to give Peppa Pig and her family a bath in the dog’s water dish at home ( when no one is looking). So Mom thought she would be a cool Auntie and gave her a big bowl of water for them to swim in along with some facecloths for beach towels. Well, Mom went in the kitchen for a refill on her coffee and when she came back into the living room The Great One handed her a wet Sheldon, I guess she thought he wanted to go swimming too- MOL! Mom put him in a bowl of rice to dry him out and he still talks.
Here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day.
Once again I went with a haiku to go with this photo.
I’m still praying so hard for Buttons! Prancie is such a pretty kitty!
Thank you. XO
I’m glad the talking Sheldon still works!
Me too 🙂
Nice poem. Simple and relaxing.
I hope all goes well with Button. I’ll say a prayer for him.
Thank you for the prayers.
That little Haiku packs in a lot of thoughts about that picture!
It reminded petcretary of her preteen days when her family would rent a cottage near a couple provincial park with a big sandy beaches. (Outlet/Sandbanks Provincial Park, near Picton, Ontario)
I bet those were wonderful times for her family. XO
Glad Sheldon is still talking!
Me too 🙂
Just sitting and doing nothing…yeah, that would be my kind of thing too, miss Ellen 😀 Great haiku! Healing Pawkisses for Button and Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you 🙂 <3
Thank you. XO
Well The Great One is big on swimming pools and dunking Sheldon and company in for a quick bath or swim?! Good thing rice works so well…..LOL Your poem for Poetry Challenge is wonderful – short and sweet and you hit all the important points of the peace and quiet that photo brings to mind!! We’ll be anxious to hear how Button’s possible surgery fund goes…………
Hugs, Teddy
Thank you. We try to keep the poems short and sweet- mostly because I am too lazy to do longer ones. XO
We really hope Button gets what he needs. Poor guy. It’s good that Sheldon dried out just fine. Mom’s fill ins – 1. History. 3. To sew. 4. Just living takes a whole lot of courage these days.
Thank you to your Mom for these answers. I am sorry she is having a tough time right now. XO
So glad that Sheldon is all right and dry now. Hope all of you have a most wonderful day.
Thank you. I hope you had a nice day too. XO
Maybe Sheldon just wanted to join in on the fun 🙂 Thankfully the rice trick worked and he’s still talking!
Thank you 🙂
So are you gonna play with Sheldon now that he works?
Yes 🙂
Hooray Sheldon. We’re all purring for sweet Buttons. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you.
Meowsesr, Ms. Ellen, I’m very glad to know that The Great One appreciates the fun of swimming!!! >^.^<
She does 🙂
Some toys just need a bath now and then. Just ask Ivan!
MOL! 🙂
No cell phone or internet is the start of a great vacation.
Very true 🙂
Sending hugs and blessings to Button and I love the haiku.
Thank you. XO
I love that graphic. I want to sit there and read a good book.
Not participating in Friendly Fill-ins this week. We’re on a cruise with our yacht club.
Have a fabulous day, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥
I hope you have a great time. XO
We can’t visit friends every day so we didn’t know Buttons needed surgery. If we can still donate please let us know. Paws crossed!
Thank you, the GoFund me page is still open. XO
Glad to hear that Talking Sheldon is still working. Hope you are having a great day.

Thank you 🙂
We’re continuing our purrs and prayers for Buttons!
Talking Sheldon sure had a bit of an adventure. I’m glad he still works! I never believed in that rice trick until I dropped my brand new phone in the toilet a while back. When it wouldn’t work, I was just going to give up on it, but my mom took my phone, stuck it in some rice, and it came out working again. I was thoroughly impressed. Happy Thursday!
That is a great trick 🙂
Glad the talking Sheldon still works after swimming 🙂
I love your haiku!

Thank you, everything helps. We all do what we can. XO
Poor Sheldon. Heh… More prayers for Buttons! I’ve had some excitement today that came in an eight legged form. Ugh…, though I enjoyed writing a blog post about it. Be well!

Sheldon got dumped in the water! I am glad he dried out OK.
OK I admit it, I missed all about Button I apologise.
Thank you 🙂
We are glad that Sheldon-In-Rice werked well. TBT once tried cornstarch and that was not so good.
That sounds messy.
Sheldon lives on and so does his voice!
Long live Sheldon 🙂
