Miserable Monday

Hi everyone. I am going to take a short break from blogging because of Phoebe’s health. She had been doing so well eating, but she seemed weak so I took her to the vet Saturday.

She was dehydrated so she got her fluids. Her weight went down again despite eating well  and is now 4 pounds 12 ounces. We are waiting on some blood work results that will be in on Monday. Her anemia has gotten worse too, but we don’t know if the cause is kidney disease or something else.

Annie at McGuffy’s Reader will still run the Friendly Fill-Ins on Friday if I am not blogging then. I just want to spend my time with her just in case we don’t have much more time.

All purrs and prayers are appreciated. Thank you.

  2. Ellen, I am so sorry. When my late Coolidge quit eating, I liquified his tinned food and fed him with a syringe. It helped, but nothing works forever. Bitter fact, but we all know it. . . .I will pray for a turnaround for Phoebe, and for acceptance and peace of heart for you, if the turnaround is not to be.

I have not been feeling well myself so haven’t been around this weekend. Prayers for you both are on the way and hugs, too. Thinking of you… ♥

  5. Oh, Ellen, this sounds really bad. I think it’s a very wise decision to spend as much time as possible with Phoebe – either way, you and she will benefit from it. Even if she recovers. Which we hope. <3 <3

  6. So sorry to hear Phoebe isn’t doing well. She most certainly has been trying her best to not let her considerable medical issues get her down, bless her heart. It’s a lot for a little girl to go through – we hope she rallies again though – but I know that I would be doing the SAME THING…….lots of hugs, catering to her needs, just being a Mom for whatever time you can have with her. As I said, I hope she rallies for you……….

    Love, Pam

  7. If I may give you an advice, don’t stress her, don’t let her suffer, don’t insist, it’s a very hard decision but sometimes it is less egoistic to let them go. I know it very well.

  8. Oh Phoebe, please get better. We were hust getting to know you and your so darn pretty.

  22. OH NO. I haven’t hardly been anywhere on the CB and look what I missed. The opportunity to be as much as possible to be there for precious Phoebe. Ellen, I am devastated for you and your husband, Phoebe, Grammie and all the babies. I’m not going to let her out of my thoughts.
