National Coloring Day

Hi everyone! Lots going on today. First off, I am joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that I got to spend quality time with Grammie on Monday. I love her so very much.

And here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day. I used all 4 word prompts.

Letter to Santa
Santa you don’t need to send an elf
I will tell you who has been naughty
that elf can sit on someone else’s shelf
Sammy and Penny have issues with the potty
Really, I am the only one that’s nice
the only normal one too
None of my siblings deserve new toy mice
or any gift from you
Sammy, Brody and Emmy like to fight
I could use a new harness dress
size small, I am very light
make it pretty, I have a purrince to impress
PS: Don’t use the chimney
it leads to the furnace
I will leave you a key
so you don’t burn your jolly a**

Today is National Coloring Day so I thought I would have a giveaway to celebrate.

Just leave a comment on today’s post for a chance to win this coloring book for your human and I will be sure mom makes some crocheted toys for you too. I will announce the winner on Sunday. Feel free to tell me how beautiful I am, you would think I would get sick of hearing that, but I never do.

And here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two.

1. I have broken __________________ bones.

2. When I go out to breakfast, I order___________________________.
3. As Summer officially comes to an end,                                  .

4. Before this year is over, I really need to                                 .

    1. Thank you for saying I am beautiful 🙂 I know I am early, but I want to be sure Santa has plenty of time to find me the perfect dress. XO

  1. Well, first things first – Phoebe you ARE beautiful and the whole world knows it! Secondly, we think the poem this week for Angel Sammy’s poetry challenge is totally fabulous. All four words in there and SOOOO funny too! Talking about Santa makes me excited – this will be my first REAL Christmas with my Mom and Dad and I hope I don’t get in trouble for climbing the Christmas tree because I’m SURE looking forward to that! Hee Hee Hee HAPPY THURSDAY!

    Love, Teddy

    1. Thank you Teddy. I hope you have a wonderful first official Christmas. I am sure Santa will be very good to you. XO and love to you and your mom.

  2. Phoebe, please do not add me to your coloring book giveaway, because I was gifted a kitten & puppy book AND pencils in March and haven’t touched it! Maybe in the Winter, when I’m impatient for Spring, I’ll be able to sit still to color…but I doubt that too. And you are a wee sweetum’; hope you are gobbling up your nutritious foods! Nice poem too.

  3. You are a pretty kitty. Aren’t you getting an early start on Santa? I remember back when I was a little redneck, coloring in coloring books. We called crayons “Colors”. Have a great week.

  4. Phoebie, you are just too beautiful little queenie!
    Santa already? Oh, my!

  5. I like your poem a lot! And off course you are a beauty! Santa should bring you the prettiest dress, made from the finest materials & by the most skilled elves! My Friday fill-in answers: 1. I have broken “0 mousie’s” bones. 2. …I order “noms from McDs with Mom” 3. I “get excited for All Hallows Eve.” 4. I need to “paw up a bathing schedule for the D-O-G to give to the humans.” Tee hee hee!

  7. You are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I think Santa might let some of the trouble that your siblings get into slide and bring a bag full of goodies for everyone. HO HO HO!

  8. Phoebe, that is a clever and excellent poem. We sure do hope that Santa brings you that new dress. You are gorgeous and beautiful and deserve a new dress. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

  9. Phoebe, you are so cute and sweet. And, that poem! You excelled! I want to try to get into this poetry thing, but…too much “stuff”. I will get there, but won’t be as good as you all are!

  10. I am glad that you got to visit with Grammie. What a special time for you. 🙂

We have an elf here, but it isn’t one of Santa’s elves. It is one named Dottie that belongs to our Marine.

You are a beautiful kitty and it is natural that you would never tire of hearing it.

That looks like a nice coloring book. Someone is going to be very lucky. 🙂

    Have a blessed night!
