I decided that these would be perfect for Prancie. We don’t know her exact age, but she has lived with us for 12 years and the vet guessed she was 2 or 3 at the time she arrived. She doesn’t seem to get up on the bureaus like she used to. She gets on the bed because there is a stool there to help her.

Nutramax Cosequin Original Joint Health Sprinkle Capsules Cat Supplements come in capsule form, you just open the capsule and sprinkle it over canned food. They are made with manganese, glucosamine and chondroitin. She seems to like the flavor and finishes her food. It also seems to agree with her tummy, I tried something similar on Spooky years ago and it upset his tummy.

The reviews say that owners noticed improvement after a day, but I didn’t. She has only been using it for 2 weeks and I know from experience when we had a dog, that it usually takes a month to start helping. I am hoping it will improve her mobility, I will keep you posted.

If you have an older cat with arthritis, you might want to give it a try. It is on sale this month for $8.96 for a 30 day supply. Click here

And don’t forget Chewy has free 1-2 day shipping on orders over $49

  1. M has been testing the same thing this month, but without noticeable difference. I’m glad to know he wasn’t the only one that didn’t display immediate improvement.

  2. Dat Artritis guy isn’t any fun is he. I bet that ttablet does help. The kitty before me was on that stuff and it did help him for a long time – like about 4 years. Hope it works for you pal.

  3. I hope it will help Prancie……arthritis is not a fun thing. I had a lot of mobility problems my last year but I didn’t like the taste of ANYTHING Mom tried out for me…….at least Prancie has no problem with the taste!

    1. I am glad Prancie likes it and it agrees with her tummy. I am sorry you were not well for your last year. XO

  4. I hope they help. I know that supplements like that can take a month or more to start to work. Benny is on Adequan injections and they are helping him (though, of course, they aren’t a cure all, but we prefer to use this instead of a pain killer.)

  5. I have heard great things about these! I hope that they can help Prancie feel a little better. Aging does a lot of mean things to us all. She looks pretty happy about giving them a try!

  6. We reviewed those today. We didn’t see any results either but didn’t really expect too since da packagin’ clearly said it takes 4 to 6 weeks. We are gonna be reviewin’ somethin’ else very soon you might want to try or add to your survival kit. We are fur sure seein’ results and it’s pawsum. Big hugs

    Luv ya’
