Happy Birthday Grammie!

Hi everyone! Today is Grammie’s Birthday- Happy Birthday Grammie!! We love you so very much!

grammiebirthday

Joanie was the unlucky kitty that went to the vet yesterday. She had to go to a surgeon to have a deep ear cleaning. Last week, her regular vet cleaned her ear under sedation and found the ear drum ruptured and suspected a mass. Thankfully, the mass was just was and debris. He cleaned her other ear too and found a small perforation in that ear drum too. 100_9650

3. My scariest Halloween was                                 .

4.                         is my favourite Halloween treat.

My answers:

  1. One Halloween, I dressed as A CLOWN, I WAS A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL AND THE PHOTO IS EVEN IN THE YEARBOOK.
  2. My favorite comedian is ADAM SANDLER ( I know he is in a lot of stupid movies, but I have the need to see them all and I used to love to listen to cassettes of his comedy act in the car with my Mom and niece). I like Marc Maron too because he is a cat lover.
  3. My scariest Halloween was 2011, WE HAD A HALLOWEEN ICE STORM AND THE POWER WAS OUT FOR 7 DAYS, OUR CELL PHONES DIDN’T WORK FROM HOME EITHER SO I HAD TO DRIVE 3 MILES INTO TOWN TO CALL MY MOM. THIS WAS ALL A NIGHTMARE TO ME.
  4. A CANDY APPLE is my favorite Halloween treat.

  1. I’m glad that it was just a mess, and not a mass going on in Joanie’s ears, but still – poor girl!

    Happy birthday to your Grammie!

  2. Happy Birthday to your grammie Phoebe. Joanie’s ears were in rough shape. What happened to make them this bad? Or is this an ongoing infection? These are great sentences, let’s see what Kali can do with them.

    1. Grammie thanks you. Joanie always has waxy ears and sometimes a yeast infection in them. I noticed she seemed deaf though so they cleaned her ears and discovered the ruptured ear drum and mess beyond that.

    1. Grammie thanks you. How did I not know Adam Sandler was in that? I just ordered it from the library.

  3. I am glad that Joanie is okay. I’m sorry that she had troubles with her ears.

    Happy birthday Grammie!

Power being out for 7 days is scary and especially since you couldn’t make calls from home. What if there had been an emergency…very scary!

I think it is funny that both you and David were clowns…something that has always terrified me. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend!

    1. Grammie thanks you. Yes, it was scary to be out of contact for so long.I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  4. Oh! My poor Joanie. I hope she’s feeling better. Tell her I love her. Love, Simon
That Halloween of 2011 must have been awful! Tell Phoebe she’s really scary as a witch.

  5. Such good news that all will be well with the kitty’s ears! That must have been some amazing clown costume, too.

  6. First of all, tell your grammie happy birthday for us, Phoebe! And I’m so glad that it was not a mass in Joanie’s ear, and that it’s all on the mend now. We love your fill-ins! I dressed as a clown one year, too, but I’m not a big fan of them these days (although we sure wouldn’t mind seeing your picture from your yearbook…). And your scariest Halloween sounds like the setup for a horror movie. What a nightmare! Purrs, and thank you for hosting this! We always have so much fun!

    1. Grammie thanks you. I don’t like clowns anymore either. I am glad you always participate in the fill-ins.

  7. Happy Birthday to your Grammie! Hope your ears are better soon Joanie. Our Mommy’s nickname is Joanie only she spells hers Joni.
    Great fill-in answers.
    Happy Furriday!

Sorry about your trip to the vet, but it looks like it turned out far better than expected.

    Have a purrfect day. ☺

  9. Poor Joanie! Ear problems are terrible but we’re happy she’s OK. And happy happy birthday to your grammie!

P.S. There’s photographic evidence that our mom once dressed up as Fidel Castro for a company Halloween contest. While plenty scary, she didn’t win–the much scarier Richard Simmons entry did. (They really liked Halloween at that place!)

  10. Happy birthday to your grammie! And we’re sure glad Joanie doesn’t have a tumor. Poor girl.

    1. Grammie and Joanie both thank you. Mom was finally able to sleep last night, she had trouble before because she was so worried.

  11. Phoebe, I’m sure your grammie will love your birthday card. Happy birthday to her! So sorry about Joanie’s ears but glad they are better.

Ice storms are the worst! That indeed sounds scary.

  12. Happy Birthday to the Grammie who is loved so very much! Clowns used to be a fun thing, you could be totally silly then without embarrassment! Now they’ve turned it into something creepy which is really sad. I like some of things Adam Sandler has done too, and some of his Saturday Night Live sketches! Now that sounds like a truly scary… and horrible… Halloween memory! I’ve never had a candy apple, in the Midwest where I was raised we made caramel apples, and I love them to this day, but slice them first before dipping, then they are easy to eat! Thank you for giving us Friendly Fill-Ins each week, it’s fun!

    1. Grammie thanks you. CLowns are scary now. Good idea to slice the apples first. I am glad you enjoy the fill-ins and I thank you for participating.

  13. Happy, happy, happy birthday to your Grammie! Phoebe is the cutest witch! How did Joanie end up with the perforated eardrums. If you have explained this before, sorry we don’t know. Is she deaf? If you have told us this before, again sorry. Mom’s brain is a sieve. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

    1. Grammie thanks you. I didn’t write about it much just that she needed her ears checked last week, but once I was told there was a possible mass, I didn’t want to write about it and jinx her. She can hear, and I was told the ear drum grows back. XO

  14. Happy birthday to your Grammie. Are you giving her treats?
I am glad it was debris in Joanie’s ear and not a mass. I hope she feels better now.

  15. Happy Birthday to your Grammie! We hope her day is filled with love and purrs.

Poor sweet Joanie, we totally understand about ear cleaning around here and are glad to hear no polyps or masses were found.

  16. Oh my goodness happy happy Birthday to Grammie…I hope you gave her lots of kitty kisses. Joanie we are so sorry about your ear I know it must be very painful
    Hugs madi and mom

    2. My favorite comedian is John Oliver right now. TW used to love Robert Klein.
    3. My scariest Halloween was about three years ago when some tweenie boys had a pawty on our floor. They kept running and screaming down the hall past our door and TW thought I’d gotten out cos they’d run by while and door was open and TW was giving out treats.
    4. Chinese food is my favourite Halloween treat. Greenies SmartBites too.

    1. Grammie thanks you. Thanks for your great answers to the fill-ins. That would be scary to think you had escaped. I hope you get Chinese food for Halloween. XO

  22. Joanie sure is pretty relieved too that her eardrum is just fine. Ear troubles are difficult. Glad to know Joanie’s are all good.

  25. Phew! Good thing Joanie is fine…hope those ruptures heal up well…then she will hear a lot better, too.

    1. One Halloween, I dressed as a monkey. The mask scared kids and it wasn’t even a scary outfit…
    2. My favorite comedian is the late Victor Borge.
    3. My scariest Halloween was none…I mostly do not participate in this day. .

    4. Toffee and candy corn are my favourite Halloween treats, but alas they and yummy candy apples no longer are part of our ‘diet’…

    1. Luckily ear drums heal, she can hear now, but it should improve.I bet the monkey was funny 🙂 I love toffee, I haven’t had any in a long time.
