P’s and Q’s

I want to thank everyone for their love and support over Spooky’s passing. My husband and I are devastated, but we know how blessed we were to have him choose us for a family. I will respond to all of your comments soon.

I don’t want to get kicked out of the A-Z Challenge because books for R, S and T are very important. I am going to mix my P’s and Q’s  and hope that is OK.

P is for Patricia Fry author of The Klepto Cat Mysteries. I prefer to read non-fiction, but her cozy mysteries are an exception because the cat has a starring role. I reviewed Cat-Eye Witness in January 2015.

And for Q we have The World is Still Your Litter Box by Quasi ad Fisher. It is a fun book that includes advice for cats. I especially like the list of offenses such as clawing a screen with a excuse of the holes were too small to let sufficient air inside.

Spooky did not travel to The Bridge alone. There is a lot of sadness in The Blogosphere.

And Marg lost her sweet boy too.

we love you Mister

  1. Oh need to check out the Klepto cat mysteries! It sure has been a sad week in the Cat Blogosphere. I hope that our Tucker has found and greeted Spooky.

  2. I just read of Spooky’s passing. I am sorry about this; it is a terrible thing to lose a friend. It never seems quite enough to know that they loved and were loved; we always want them to stay. Godspeed, Spooky.

  3. We were comforted known Spooky and Mister took the trip together holding paws I’m sure!!
    Hugs madi and mom

  4. Oh our hearts are with you and your husband…..we know Spooky was one very brave boy and certainly both of you did all you could for him. He had the best of care and tons of love and after all, that’s all we can really do – love each other while we’re here. Anyway, thanks for the book reviews – they both sound wonderful and we especially like the screen clawing excuse!

Sending Hugs to all of you,
    Sammy and Mom Pam

    1. My cats must have read the book because all our screens have holes. Love and hugs to you both.

  5. More big healing hugs for you and your husband. We are still feeling the loss of our Little Bit. We know what you’re going through.

    Have a blessed day. ☺

  6. We found an “S” book that looks like a sweet story. Mommy is going to get it for her Kindle. The Story of a Street Cat Called Sabrina by Sheryl Lee.
    Sending hugs and love,

    1. Thank you for letting me know about that book, I will add it to my Goodreads list. XO and love to you.

  7. Hopefully there’s no blog-hop police that would kick you out!
I enjoy cozy mysteries but haven’t read any of the The Klepto Cat Mysteries.

    1. There are actually blog hop police 🙂 I think they will let it slide a day though due to the circumstances. You will like the Klepto Cat mysteries.

  8. M is sending you big HUGS. She says losing our dear pets if so very devastating as they are like children to pet pawrents. I was saddened to read about the other two that crossed also. I will go over and leave my condolences.

    1. Thank you Mario and Mom. I am thankful that people understand that cats are some people’s kids. I am also thankful for your friendship. It has been a sad week. XO

    1. That is the only downside, it is like losing a family member every time one leaves us.

  9. My old gal Vision passed a few weeks ago, at nearly 23. I miss her terribly. Maybe she will encounter Spooky and they’ll be talking about us, cracking jokes, raining hairballs upon the deserving.

    1. I am sorry for your loss . How lucky you were to have her for so long. We are grateful for the time we had with Spooky.

  10. Ellen; your P’s & Q’s post is a nice one; and yes, there is a lot of sadness this week; as I know there’s been a huge amount of sadness in your home during the past year; losing one is bad enough, I can’t imagine losing three so close to one another ♥♥♥♥♥

  11. Oh awnty Ellen, we think you shouldn’t worry ’bout da challenge. You can always tell us ’bout special books. There is a lot of sadness and a lot of loss. We’s sendin’ purrayers to all those affected.

    Luv ya’

    1. That is true, but blogging makes me happy and I want to be happy. I am tired of being sad. XO

  12. Sometimes you need a moment to catch your breath when sorrow takes it away. Please know we are here for you. We send you lots of love and support, Ellen. Always. Hugs.

    1. Thank you, I should stop blogging for a few more days, but it is a good distraction from the emptiness in our house. XO and love.

  13. Ellen, you remain in our purrs and Mom’s prayers as do all the kitties and your entire family. We know Spooky was greeted by many loving friends when he reached the R.B. Mom received the decal in the mail with the toys for us. We guess we were the winners. We love your toys so much. Thank you. Mom wanted to put the decal on the top of her laptop, but it is just a bit too big. We’ll take a photo of wherever she puts it and share on the blog. Sending lots of love. 1. Thank you for your kind words. I am glad the package arrived. It is a big sticker, my car is old so I didn’t mind putting it on there. XO

  14. Now at least we know why there are those big holes in our back porch screens…they were already there put in by some-other….but at least we know why, MOL!

Wow, so much sadness around the blogging world…Purrs and big hugs.

  15. You, your husband, and all your kitties are all still in our thoughts and prayers, Ellen. Your Spooky is running young and free now. Until you two meet again, you’ll always have your fond memories of him. Purrs and hugs to you, Ellen.

    1. Thank you. We know how blessed we were to have him while we did. We will always love and miss him though. XO
